Information icon Hello, I'm Tiggerjay. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mustafa Agha, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. TiggerJay(talk) 00:19, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Bassel Khaiat, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. TiggerJay(talk) 00:22, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Bassel Khaiat, you may be blocked from editing. TiggerJay(talk) 00:27, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your response... On Wikipedia we require reliable, secondary sources -- not just any website qualifies. Please see the policies linked above (blue links above) for the various policies. The website you provides does not appear to meet the requirements as a reliable source. Furthermore you are editing articles which are also further under special polices regarding Palestine-Israel articles. Kindly refrain from attempting to add that information until you can find a suitable source that you can properly reference. Once you find such sources, please use the WP:EDITREQUEST format for any pages which broadly relate to Palestine or Israel topic areas. TiggerJay(talk) 00:39, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hy why are u playing with the Info. Firstly al khayat is a well known Syrian Arab family from damascus. Omar7575 (talk) 00:39, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
As stated above, you need reliable sources when adding such information, first-hand, personal knowledge, regardless of how common it might seem to you, is simply insufficient for new information to be added, and this is specially true with MENA area articles right now. TiggerJay(talk) 00:41, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Melhem Zein. TiggerJay(talk) 00:57, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Melhem Zein is Iraqi go search and u will see Omar7575 (talk) 01:00, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
+ I tried to give u evidence but u are rejecting Omar7575 (talk) 01:01, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
What you provided is NOT evidence, it must conform to the policy on RELIABLE SOURCES. The ONUS is on you to provide sources for information that you are wanting to include, not for others to seek it out. If you are looking for assistance, may I suggest you have a look over at Wikipedia:WikiProject Iraq and seek out assistance from the tools and resources available over there. Please do not further edit biographies of living people until you have a better understanding of the policies. TiggerJay(talk) 01:08, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

You are not answering I think it’s your job to answer isn’t it Omar7575 (talk) 01:06, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it is your job, per WP:ONUS which states the responsibility for achieving consensus for inclusion is on those seeking to include disputed content. - in otherwords the burden of proof is yours, not mine. TiggerJay(talk) 01:09, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

😂 Why did u change samer al masri to Egyptian origin although I wrote it first into wiki then deleted it. U need evidence that he is Egyptian Omar7575 (talk) 01:16, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. TiggerJay(talk) 01:19, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Well stop acting as u have done nothing. You also changed samer al masri into Egyptian origin after i made it and deleted it. There’s no evidence that he’s Egyptian originally Omar7575 (talk) 01:24, 3 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I have simply been reverting your edits which violate policy. Please take a moment to read about the policies provided above before you continue. We do WELCOME people to edit, but they must confirm to the policies and guidelines. Unfortunately the initial changes you want to make are considered contentious topics, and that often leads to people having a difficult time getting started. Let me recommend you follow the processes at WP:EDITREQUEST on the talk page of the articles and/or the talk page of the related project mention on those talk pages. There you will find people who are willing to help you with the specific changes you are wanting to make until you learn the polices and guidelines that apply to the sorts of changes you want to make. Warning on biographical content

[edit]

If you continue to restore unsupported or unnecessary nationalities to the lead of articles contrary to WP:BLP and MOS:NATIONALITY, you will be blocked from editing.-- Ponyobons mots 16:43, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

May I know who u are to talk like this with me and please don’t do something u don’t know about. Bassam kousa is Syrian Arab originally from Halab and melhm zain is labanese from Iraqi Shia origin. It’s not my fault if u don’t believe it and please stop playing with my work. Omar7575 (talk) 18:32, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Ponyobons mots 16:44, 4 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
