- Hi thanks for your message. Obviously I am disappointed that the article for Bow School, Durham has been rejected on the grounds that it should be merged with Durham School. I find this puzzling because Bow School was formed independently of Durham School and has a very separate history. Is there no way this, now closed, institution can be considered separately to Durham School, which continues as part of the Durham Cathedral Schools Foundation?
- Durham School was created by and run by the Cathedral, Bow was a secular school. While many pupils went on to Durham School, many did not. It has a rich and separate history to Durham School. I am just confused as to why this needs to be merged? Old Dunelmians (talk) 11:02, 29 November 2023 (UTC)
