Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Olasunkanmi007. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Miss Charming Nigeria, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. K.e.coffman (talk) 02:27, 8 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mxtt.prior. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Babajide Sanwo-Olu have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse. Thank you. Mxtt.prior (talk) 19:46, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi..I am Aminu from Washington. This is an urgent issue in Nigeria. They are killing the Youths and we need to create awareness. Thank you Olasunkanmi007 (talk) 20:23, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Aminu, I am completely aware of the significance and importance of the concerning events in Nigeria. However simply adding a non-referenced paragraph in non-encyclopaedic style to the start of an article is not the way to raise awareness. Wikipedia editors ensure that articles are from a NPOV and are to the highest standards - I promise you that unreferenced, good faith, subtle-vandalism edits such as yours will *always* be reverted, and so will not create the awareness you want. There are pages explaining the current events and highlighting their important on Wikipedia already - perhaps you wish to find and help contribute to these, with referenced information, or perhaps I can suggest you turn to Social Media or petitioning to local officials or government? Either way, I hope you enjoy your stay on Wikipedia - we value your productive edits. Mxtt.prior (talk) 20:37, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you..

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Oluremi Tinubu, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Promoting a cause does not justify adding irrelevant material to articles SMP0328. (talk) 21:34, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, who is this message coming from? Are you the CEO of Wikipedia? Are you happy that people are dying? People still died today and you threatening me with blocking? Come-on have some emphaty. This is a Nigerian page and it's created for NIGERIANs. Why are you interested. Olasunkanmi007 (talk) 22:00, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Kaizenify (talk) 22:35, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently making disruptive edits. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  GorillaWarfare (talk) 01:25, 26 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Olasunkanmi007, do not mark your edits "fixed typo" when you are adding long, personal statements that are not encyclopedic. Only add content that is verified by reliable sources that you provide. Your appeals are more suitable for a blog or social media than Wikipedia. Liz Read! Talk! 02:06, 26 October 2020 (UTC)C[reply]
