Re: Grammar Nazi

Hi. You were one of the editors discussing whether or not the article grammar nazi would qualify for a move to Wikitionary or its deletion. I made a proposal in the article's discussion if you're interested in participating. --76.214.226.199 05:22, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Watermark

Hi, Happy Thanksgiving. I just saw your note about the wartermark on Armenian BRDM.jpg. As you can see from the the copyright tag its a work of Republic of Armenia and is in public domain. I can photoshop the watermark out, but I'm not sure if its allowed. VartanM (talk) 23:07, 22 November 2007 (UTC)

Confused

Re. User talk:Themepark#Speedy deletion of Image talk:1918eatonssantaclausparade.jpg.

I am assuming this is a mistake. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 20:56, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
Yes, talk pages are for discussing the article (or in this case, the image), not the subject, but typically one should not be using a blunt tool like speedy deletion to address such instances. In fact, WP:SD states that speedy deletion should not be used for talk pages for images on Wikimedia Commons. In any event, as per WP:AGF, you shouldn't jump to conclusions -- the editor who asked the question may have wanted to update the image description, which is a perfectly legitimate use of the talk page. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 21:06, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

= I second Skeezix - the discussion was in reference to the image. Where do you propose these clarifications should occur?? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Themepark (talkcontribs) 20:31 29 November 2007

A user knowledgeable about the subject. The uploader's talk page would be a good starting point. Octane [improve me] 30.11.07 0506 (UTC)
Honestly. It was a perfectly valid issue to raise on the talk page. And it was an inappropriate use of speedy deletion. Skeezix1000 (talk) 12:51, 30 November 2007 (UTC)
As I've already stated, talk pages for media and mainspace articles are for improving the object in question (this doesn't extend to community pages, like WikiProject talk pages or essays or policy or what-have-you, but moving on). Questions for clarification (i.e. 'can someone explain to me what conservative liberalism is about?') should really go more on project pages or user talk pages. === Who are you and what makes you the end all be all expert of Wikipedia??? It's common sense that if someone wants clarrification regarding a photo that the clarrification occur on the photo page - with the TALK section. If the founders of Wikipedia didn't want discussion about photos - they wouldn't have included a TALK page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Themepark (talk) 01:59 2 December 2007
