Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Nitzan Sela. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Ilan Sela, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 11:46, 26 January 2025 (UTC)

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you assume ownership of articles, as you did at Draft:Ilan Sela. DACartman (talk) 18:22, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Also, please stop removing the COI tag, it is there for a reason, Ilan's relative. DACartman (talk) 18:45, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you assume ownership of articles again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. DACartman (talk) 19:00, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you for your feedback and the warnings. I would like to understand the issue more clearly so I can address it properly. Could you please clarify what specific actions or parts of the article are problematic?
- I understand there may be concerns regarding my potential conflict of interest (COI) as a relative, and I will ensure the COI tag remains in place. I also want to make sure the article meets Wikipedia’s neutrality and verifiability guidelines.
- If there are particular changes you recommend or concerns about the tone, references, or structure, I’d appreciate your input so I can adjust accordingly.
- Thank you for your patience.
- Best regards,
- Nitzan. Nitzan Sela (talk) 19:09, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
- I'm sorry for the aggressive tone. Wikipedias policies state that you cannot remove a declined article notice from your draft. I understand that you did cite 2 external links, but you need to find reliable sources as well. DACartman (talk) 19:18, 26 January 2025 (UTC)
