Checkuser request
Can you please check User:ChampangeFace? I have noticed he made the same edit to both Aoife Hoey and her sister Siobhán Hoey only to remove it from both articles. i have asked him about why they did that, but no response. Two years ago, an anonymous IP from Ireland tried to get both articles deleted on notablility. Aoife I believe has qualified for Bobsleigh at the 2010 Winter Olympics and I believe this could be the renewal of that battle. Thanking you in advance. Chris (talk) 00:18, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- I'm sorry I didn't have an opportunity to take a look at this. (I'm not really one of the more active checkusers, anyway.) Hopefully your concern has been addressed by now? Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Semi-protection of Super Bowl players BLPs
Please read and comment on my observation of extensive vandalism to Nate Kaeding's article two weeks ago, and on my request to semiprotect all the articles of players in Super Bowl XLIV for the next two weeks until a week after the game ends. Chutznik (talk) 03:45, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry I didn't have a chance to comment on this. Fortunately, the game had a lot more good plays than poor plays, so hopefully it wasn't a problem this year. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 17:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Checkuser Request
Hello I believe my edits have been being "cyber-stalked" for over a year now by a user which I indefinitely blocked over a year ago named User:M5891. I have been advised by fellow admin User:Billinghurst to request a CU on this person. I have gotten two harassing comments by IPs linking back to the same area claiming to be him. The first was in November 2009 [1] and the second was today [2]. If you could help me in this matter it would be much appreciated. Thanks.--Jersey Devil (talk) 12:08, 1 February 2010 (UTC)
- As with the above, I'm sorry that I didn't have a chance to address this sooner, but I certainly expect that someone would have by now. If not, give me an update on the current situation and I will make sure someone takes a look. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 17:26, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
History of Arbcom cases and off-wiki communication
RE: Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/MZMcBride_2/Workshop#Jurisdiction
I notice that you listed some of the arbcom cases dealing with off-wiki communication, here is a list of possibly all of them:
Wikipedia_talk:Arbitration#Arbcom_and_offwiki_communication
Thank you, because I had lost this list, and you mentioning one of the case on this list allowed me to find it again. Thanks. Okip (formerly Ikip) 01:44, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. You're certainly welcome. Regards, Newyorkbrad (talk) 17:27, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
- ah you did respond, thank you and best wishes in all of your endeavors. Okip BLP Contest 09:27, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

CU request
I'd like to request a CU on myself. Jack Merridew suspects I am a reincarnation of Grawp or John254, and I'd like to get that cleared up so I can go on my way. Jack "Red Hood" Napier (talk) 00:39, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- Hi, Brad. This is on my talk page and his, as well as two ANI threads: wp:ani# Disruptive signature and wp:ani#user talk:Jack Merridew. It all began on user talk:Tbsdy lives#My Userpage. I'm not sure how much you actually use your CU access; others may have the logs that would help here. Up to you. For what it's worth, he's acknowledge knowing me in the past. The vandalism of both talk pages was the /b/tards and Grawp; my hunch here, is John254. Cheers, Jack Merridew 00:51, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- fyi, I now believe this to be User:Drew R. Smith. Cheers, Jack Merridew 07:53, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
- ;) CU'd as Drew. See wp:ani#Community ban proposal for Jack "Red Hood" Napier. Cheers, Jack Merridew 08:29, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Final discussion for Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people
Hello, I note that you have commented on the first phase of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people
As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:
- Proposal to Close This RfC
- Alternate proposal to close this RFC: we don't need a whole new layer of bureaucracy
Your opinion on this is welcome. Okip 03:22, 24 February 2010 (UTC)
Does anyone know ...
Is the talkpage-archiving bot on a Wikibreak? Newyorkbrad (talk) 17:50, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- It seems to be archiving talk pages like normal. Double check the code above I guess, it should be archiving yours. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 20:36, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- And, seems to be working now. Thanks. Newyorkbrad (talk) 00:36, 27 February 2010 (UTC)
