Note, I deleted your contributions you made to Soulard, St. Louis per Wikipedia policy WP:NOTDIRECTORY. I hope to see you can find other ways to expand and elaborate on an article that forms such an important part of the history of St. Louis. --Millbrooky (talk) 22:23, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So, the list I added did include famouse places of Soulard. Soulard is a unique area. Was it deleted because I included phone numbers?

User:Neighborhoodguru (talk) 11:19, 23 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The inclusion of phone numbers is what tipped me off right away, but the entire list is inappropriate for an encyclopedia. Wikipedia, afterall, is not the Yellow Pages. It would be another thing if every one of those places was notable enough to merit its own article, something almost none of them do. Dupont Circle, Washington, D.C. is an example of what I believe is a decent neighborhood article that the Soulard article should aspire towards. --Millbrooky (talk) 02:32, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
