Sure, I need some details (Date of Born, city of born, the clubs he played for and in what season he played them, a summery of his career if possible) and at least one source (website) to avoid the deletion. Mussav (talk) 19:08, 10 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you sooo much, I will get as many detials as possible for you. His name is Edison Eshay and he played for the Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya and the Iraqi National team, he also coached the Air Force club and (this is not recorded but I am working on getting it fixed) the national Team I will sit with him and get you all of the detailed information of his birth and his childhood before professional soccer and after. Here is a website http://www.torontowingedbull.com/stars/edison.htm look for edison david that is the name we have taken in America. Mussav I thank you for helping me, and honestly I want you to know that what you write will be the first true and acurate accounts. Everything I have read online is missing detailed information, but that is probably because my Dad does not go around bragging about himself. If I am ever able to help you with anything you let me know, I like video games too, so if you need anything let me know. Tommy D. Done. Edison David. If you need any help please let me know. Mussav (talk) 17:25, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much again. My father and I will sit down and I will get as much as I can into the Wiki and then if I have anymore questions I will let you know. Thanks again. 208.29.250.2 (talk) 04:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Arab Champions League

[edit]

Hi Mussav,

I've just been looking at Arab Champions League 2009-10 page and i added all the nations in a Table, but looking at what you wrote before, is it true that only the league winners will take part?

Previously, some nations have not sent there league winners, so i'm not sure if the format is going to be the same as last year or not?

I've added the tables as some leagues are starting to finish, so maybe we should start adding that nations reps? Druryfire (talk) 20:24, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Every time the UAFA is announcing that only the League champions will participate, but every time the Arab federations object about the low quality of this tournament like it takes long time and the money is low..etc, this time the UAFA promised to raise the money and the quality of tournament will be higher by making two separate tournaments one for the League champions (I believe top 2 or 3 from each league) and another tournament for the cups champions (I think The cup winner and the runners up). I tried to get more information from the official site but the site now is under development. UAFA official site. Mussav (talk) 08:35, 12 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

hope u r arab and arabs should not fight like this. pls stop adding the names of hussain yasser , majdi, magid, wesam and rest to foreigner list on qatar team's page. the foreigners are sebastian, fabio, marcone, saqr, kone (he is playing in qatar since 1995), burhan. Same applies for the players that are added on the asian list of those with foreign heritage. And some of those dont play for Qatar like mohammed harris, Ali mejbel, lawrence, jawad ahnash.

And then Arab players can play for other Arab teams just African and Carribean players play for france (Zidane, henry, vieira, makelele, thuram, platini, saha, wiltord, nasri, benzema, ben arfa, dhorasoo, and many many more) Ahmed User:Ahmed falcon

Arab or not, they are not Qataris and this is fact. we publish fact info, if you wish to publish false info you can do it somewhere other than here. How did we know that Vieira is from Senegal, Zidane is from Algeria.. etc yes they have played for France national taem but as for their personal info, they are not French. There is no wrong thing with that but the question is how did we know that info? Because it's facts. Hussein Yassir is an Egyptian, Wissam Zaki is Palestinian...etc. Egypt, Sudan, Palestine.. etc is not Qatar. this is facts.
As for Ali Mejbel he has played for Qatar National and Olympic teams and Mohammed Haris has played for Qatar Youth team same as the others. Lawrence played in the AFC Champions League as Qatari and if you deny that you will cost your country a big trouble since Al-Gharafa used their 3 pro players. Mussav (talk) 15:03, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

HEY................Mussav.............If u say like that then....When Ronaldinho......Played for Barca..he Became a spanish citizen.........For bringin more foreign players to the BARCA..............JUZ like that Lawrence was given qatari citizenship so that one extra foreign player caN come to AL GHARRAFA................!User:Elannabi 10:32, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The European rules does not work on Asia. The Europeans citizenship givin due to a political resons more than football, which AFC does not have this thing. Mussav (talk) 14:50, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi............im frm Qatar.................Pls dont edit the QATAR NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM...........................As ur Editing Wrong info......

Please tell which one of the players we listed are Qatari? go and search in Kooora threads, you will find plenty of sources tell that they are not Qataris. Mussav (talk) 13:48, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey............Mussav its Given ..............the Non-Arab players who play in the team are.........!Wesam Rizk is Frm Falestine but hes an Arab players.............u understand...........?

I fixed it, the list now contains Arab, South American and non-Arab. Thanks for the correction. :) Mussav (talk) 12:46, 15 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

IRC

[edit]

IRC( irc.freenode.net 6667 #wikipedia) is the best way I find. But {{help}} works, I am currently speaking to one on this matter.

Template:Iraq Squad 2007 AFC Asian Cup has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. — Neier 07:41, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comment at the TFD discussion. I agree that it is a good idea to link to the major squads lists (like Asian Cup 2007 squads#Iraq) from each player article. Most people think the templates at the bottom will clutter an article (and, for some players it is a big issue); but, a link in the See also section, or a section like Naohiro Takahara#National team can give the same information. I tried to keep the champions like Asian Cup or Euro when we first talked about this in the spring; but, was quickly out-voted. Neier 00:59, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey Mussav. Do you have a source stating that it was false? If so, then that would be great. We could use that to expand the article and talking about how he was falsy accused of this. Have a good night. Chaldean 05:48, 12 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Iraqi football

[edit]

Greetings Mussav. According to Wikipedia:WikiProject Football, it recomments to use the original club name, in its native language. (Example: Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ). The article's title needs to be the offical name, not the english translation, according to WikiPronect Football. Chaldean (talk) 01:19, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay bro, but FYI Zaxo and using Al instead of Ash are official. Mussav (talk) 04:08, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Great! By the way, I have been monitoring your battle in the Baghdad and Mesopotamia articles. I support your effort. Chaldean (talk) 15:44, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Chaldean, well lol I get banned because of it :p Mussav (talk) 17:22, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Basra

[edit]

To be honest with you, I am really not an expert when it comes to Southern Iraq. Perhaps User:EliasAlucard or User:Tourskin could be more helpful for you. I think they known that stuff. Chaldean (talk) 19:54, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Chaldean, I appreciate it. :) Mussav (talk) 19:57, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hello fellow Mesopotamian. I conclude that Basra, like Baghdad, was a city built by the Arab Empire in c 636 or 638. My handbook on Ancient Iraq: Bertman, Stephen (2005). Handbook to Life in Ancient Mesopotamia. New York: Oxford UP.
Does not mention Basra. It does not mention the old site name of "Perat d'Maishan" either. So Basra was built by the Arabs. Many other websites (by googling Basra) suggest this as well, as does wikipedia. However, Basra was built close to an old city called "Perat d'Maishan". It is likely that the town Perat d'Maishan was a Sassanid settlement built in Iraq when Ctesiphon served as the Iranian capital. With the Arab conquest of Persia the settlement must have declined and the Arabs built a new city, Basra in its place.
I hope this helps, Tourskin (talk) 19:08, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Tourskin, this is really helped. :) Mussav (talk) 19:26, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Stay calm. I personally agree with you and also think that Four Great Ancient Civilizations does not make any sense. Please remember that it is not I that created this concept. It is a concept in Chinese historiography and is not widely accepted in the world. And it is under criticism even in China now.--Neo-Jay (talk) 19:29, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your replay and for Clarifying it. Mussav (talk) 19:44, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The section "Once upon a time" that you added to this article was directly copied and pasted from here. Since the source site contains a copyright notice, this is considered a copyright violation, and the section has been removed from the article. 68.221.253.252 (talk) 19:52, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

But I already referred to the site. Mussav (talk) 21:01, 6 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes you did - which made it much easier to identify the copyright violation. :) You cannot copy and paste text from a copyrighted source into Wikipedia - or anywhere else for that matter. If information from a reliable source can be used to add to a WP article, you can update the article in your own words, and add a citation to the source. Think of it this way...if you are writing a research paper and copy someone else's words, it's considered plagiarism. Copy/paste into WP is both plagiarism and copyright infringement.
I suggest that you read though the pages linked above for additional information. Hope that helps! 68.221.253.252 (talk) 16:09, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
well... thanks for the info. Mussav (talk) 17:28, 7 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bro this new user is becoming really annoying. He is screwing up Arbil FC's page and I am trying my best to stop him. Perhaps you can intervene. Chaldean (talk) 16:06, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bro, I took a look at Arbil page's History and I think you are right, it was improper and your last revision is better, I just sent a message to Mo and I hope everything be fine. Mussav (talk) 23:22, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Chaldean (talk) 00:47, 10 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Copy and Paste moves

[edit]

Please, stop copying and pasting to move a page. It's against guideline and there are licensing issues when you do so. Read WP:MOVE for more info. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 18:06, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fixing it, It called Gulf Cup in the UAFA, not Persian Gulf cup. Mussav (talk) 18:08, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I know, I understand that but it's besides the issue. When you copy and paste move a page you lose the history of that page, and the history needs to be kept for licensing reasons. Read WP:CPMV and WP:MOVE to move them properly. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 18:13, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So why you didn't Warned User:Shahin.shn ? he did all the mess. Mussav (talk) 18:19, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
His move wasn't done by copying and pasting. He used the move button at the top of the page, which keeps the page histories. And let's just talk on your page.--ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 18:24, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the Info. Mussav (talk) 18:27, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
YW, sorry if I sound a little frustrated, I deal with this a few times a day and it's not easy. --ÐeadΣyeДrrow (Talk | Contribs) 18:30, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's Okay, you are doing your Job. :) I'll try to talk to User:Shahin.shn, because This isn't naming conflict, This Cup has it own Official name assigned by the UAFA, and that's what I'm trying to say. Mussav (talk) 18:36, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This user (User:07fan) is accusing me of removing sources while I didn't, I just resorted the Paragraph and improved it (by adding sourced info), and yet this user is kept annoying me by giving me warnings for no reason, and accusing me of things that I didn't do. while he is the one who is removing the contents and removing the sourced info. Mussav (talk) 05:50, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Who moved this page? This is not the correct name of the tournament. I have put a request to admins to move it back. Chaldean (talk) 15:52, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I tried so hard to get it back, but I couldn't. the person who made all the mess is User:Shahin.shn. Mussav (talk) 01:37, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It has succesfully been moved back. Let me know if you need help when you face Persian opposition in other pages. Chaldean (talk) 16:10, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello

[edit]

Thanks for your fast response! The message was intended urge all WikiProject Iraq participants to pay attention to it. It was progressively growing outdated and was in dire need of attention. What I meant by improving it is to get more Iraq articles to GA and FA status, and not keep the status quo. Your contributions are certainly appreciated and you can help the project if you get some of them to GA status. If you need help with that, I am right here! Glad that you are ready to help! I think for the moment the least thing that can be done is to tag articles relating to Iraq with the WikiProject Iraq. Cheers! Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 14:17, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Auawise, I'll try my best. :) Mussav (talk) 17:43, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your tagging campaign

[edit]

Mussav, I have doubts whether it is useful to tag every article associated with ancient Mesopotamia as within the scope of Wikipedia:WikiProject Iraq. There is a separate Wikipedia:WikiProject Ancient Near East for articles dealing with pre-Achaemenid content. Please do only tag topics post-dating the Sassanid period. dab (𒁳) 09:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The History of Mesopotamia extend thru generations, why you think we should stop in a certain generation, in the end Iraq's name represent the history of the lands, that were once existed. Any way you maybe right, but what is the harm to relate it with Iraq project? Eventually the Iraqi members will take care of it in any way. Mussav (talk) 09:53, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It does not matter if some people disagree, Mussav, I am glad that you are enthusiastic about the project. In fact you will be the first one to receive the the Iraq barnstar of national merit once we can agree on a usable form.
I was thinking that I can supply you with simple Javascript that will allow you to tag articles much faster with only one click, sort of like WP:Friendly but much simpler.
I noticed that the article Iraq is not a GA, I think it should be a priority to get it there, I was thinking of nominating it, but only after I introduce some changes to it.
Cheers!
Λua∫Wise (Operibus anteire) 19:32, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Auawise, this is really an honor to me, I'll do my best to help WP Iraq. and thank you for your time, your efforts in WP Iraq and for your supporting. :) Mussav (talk) 19:57, 21 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a request move on the talk page. Perhaps you should take a look at it. Chaldean (talk) 21:33, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree on moving it but Some sites says the Iraqi League, others says the Iraqi Super League and RSSSF says Iraqi Premier League [1], so it's a little bit confusing. Mussav (talk) 22:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mussav I know you don't mean any harm, but that edit seems very POV of you. Turkey doesn't start as "Turkey formerly known as Byzantine" or what not. Mesopotamia is part of the history of Iraq, that can be mentioned in the history section, not in the intro. Chaldean (talk) 14:11, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting change in the Iraq article

[edit]
Dear Mussav, hello and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate you coming here to contribute, however your recent edits, such as the ones you made to Template:World Soccer Magazine Team of the Year have not helped the encyclopedia and have now been removed. If you continue to do this, you will be blocked from editing for a while, possibly even indefinitely. We'd rather not do that and would rather you contributed constructively, hence this first warning. Thank you for your time and happy editing - // Finns 15:48, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Iraq super league section names

[edit]

I think what that guy said about keeping the same theme about section names is right. I think instead of changing 2007-08 section, we should change the seasons before to the new names. For example Second Round gets changed to elite stage. The names should be the same as it could be misleading. message me what you think. thanks

User:Mo1993 (talk) 17:27, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I agree with you.
Done. :) Mussav (talk) 19:47, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What is this guy's shirt name then? Using his full name in the {{footballbox}} is not an option. – PeeJay 16:24, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

With Iraq National team, he always use his first name (Hawar) and Some times he use (H.M. Mohammed). he never used Taher or Zeebari. Mussav (talk) 16:58, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why do you think it is that UEFA calls him Taher then? I would assume it's because that's the name that his club gave them. – PeeJay 20:23, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have no Idea. Taher it's not even his last name, it's his grandfather's name. His last name is Zeebari and he never used it as well. He always use his first name. Video Mussav (talk) 21:12, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I just found this picture pic. This is picture from Anorthosis Famagusta vs. Panathinaikos FC in the UEFA Champions League 2008–09. Hawar is wearing number 19 and you can see (hawar m) on his shirt while they were showing (hawar taher) on screen. I think UEFA was mistaken. Mussav (talk) 21:50, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In that case, I shall use "Hawar M." as the name displayed in the Champions League article. Thanks. – PeeJay 00:21, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, my intention was to have a WikiProject focussed on Ancient Iraq. There is a WikiProject Ancient Egypt so I don't see why there can't be a WikiProject Ancient Iraq, but since there is little prospect of having one it all belongs in WikiProject Iraq. Iraqis call Iraq بلاد الرافدين "land between the rivers". Ancient Mesopotamia is Ancient Iraq. People want to disenfranchise Iraq from its ancient history on the basis of Iraq's long subjugation to neighbouring empires. I need your help defending Iraqi heritage on here. Exactly, some people want to rip Iraq from its own rich history and they are saying Iraq is just a 1930's country? I'm 100% against those Ideas and I'm tottaly will help you on defending the Iraqi heritage. Mussav (talk) 15:09, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks bro, Iraqis need to reclaim their history, we need to lobby academia as a matter of national concern to change "Mesopotamia" to "Ancient Iraq", like Ancient Egypt and Ancient Greece. People should know it's Iraqi history. I hope at some point Iraq will establish a supreme council of antiquities and take Iraqi archeology seriously. Izzedine (talk) 20:22, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with you on changing the name from Mesopotamia to Ancient Iraq since it's just a greek name. I have an Idea let's gather all the Iraqis in Wikipedia who are intersted in Iraq's history and discuss all the matters in one place, for example the WikiProject Iraq's discussion page, we might unite our way of thinking and publish it in wikipedia. Template:Fb rbr header

[edit]

Hi, I was the one that reverted your edit. I'm not to familiar with these template designs, but what I know is when you made the previous change, it messes up the 38 round tables. It doubles round 25 and cuts off round 38 if that helps. An example would be the pages Chelsea_F.C._season_2008–09 and Chelsea_F.C._season_2007–08. Please, if you can find a way that your edit to do whatever you need the table to do doesn't conflict with our tables on the Chelsea pages. Thank You. --Yunggunn2k3 (talk) 05:01, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your note and I'm sorry for causing you troubles. I'll try to fix that problem. Mussav (talk) 09:58, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Recent callups section

[edit]

Hi, in the recent callups section of Iraq national football team, could you possibly add a date for when the player's last callup was? The Australia page has a good example of what I mean here. It just lets the reader know that the section is being kept up to date. Thanks! Stu.W UK (talk) 12:10, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Okay I'll try to gather the info. Mussav (talk) 19:10, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
