Thank you for uploading File:Dejan Stojanovic in a conversation with Saul Bellow, Chicago 1992.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Magog the Ogre (talk) 08:08, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Magog, The photograph is licensed under CCO 1.0 at the Internet Archives. Please check this page: http://www.archive.org/details/SaulBellowAndDejanStojanovic_202 For Prince Nicholas, please see this page: http://www.archive.org/details/PrinceNicholasPetroviNjegoOfMontenegroWithDejanStojanovicParis The other photograph, File:Dejan Stojanovic, 1981.jpg, was taken by the first cousin almost thirty years ago and it can be freely used without fear. Regarding File:Dejan Stojanovic 21.jpg, that photograph was taken almost fifty years ago and I state, again, that it can be freely used. Best regards, Mountlovcen8 (talk) 23:13, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Dejan_Stojanovic,_1981.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Dejan_Stojanovic,_1981.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 22:12, 10 August 2010 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. feydey (talk) 22:12, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I already explained the rationale in my previous message and you can see that most of these photographs are licensed under CCO 1.0 Universal. Regarding the other two photographs, they are from a private collection and there is no obstruction of any kind to publish them. Please visit Airplanman page at http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User_talk:Airplaneman for a more comprehensive explanation and if there is still some misunderstanding, please let me know. Thank you for uploading File:Dejan Stojanović, Chicago, 2003.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. A tag has been placed on File:Dejan Stojanovic in a conversation with Saul Bellow, Chicago 1992.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Magog the Ogre (talk) 01:21, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please note that the reason we have to delete the file is that the original is not marked under that creative commons license: http://www.ourmedia.org/media/dejan-stojanovic-and-saul-bellow. Magog the Ogre (talk) 01:22, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Dejan Stojanović, Chicago, 1991.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Dejan Stojanović, Chicago, 1991.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 01:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mountlovcen8,

I've fixed the problem you raised about disambiguation concerning Mr. Stojanovic. See here where I asked another editor for a second opinion. Is it better now? (I think so :D) Airplaneman 14:16, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Shape (book), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

it is an article about a book that does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Chihin.chong (talk) 17:30, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
