Non-free rationale for File:MLBTheShow21Cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:MLBTheShow21Cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Newfiebluejay (talkcontribs) 11:28, 24 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mitchy Power,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed your work on Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, which is mostly pretty good. But for some reason, you inserted two odd piped links.

it will also come with an exclusive Luke Skywalke<nowiki/>r with Blue Milk minifigure, and different box art showcasing Darth Vade<nowiki/>r

Because of those nowiki tags inside the piped links, the letters 'r' in 'Skywalker' and 'Vader' aren't part of the wikilink, resulting in:

it will also come with an exclusive Luke Skywalker with Blue Milk minifigure, and different box art showcasing Darth Vader

So the link is 'Luke Skywalke' and 'Darth Vade', instead of the properly linked 'Luke Skywalker' and 'Darth Vader'. Don't worry, I've changed the links already. From your edit history, it seems you're fairly new to Wikipedia. Perhaps you initially intended to write something like Luke Skywalker's? If that's the case, you can just write Luke Skywalker's, which results in Luke Skywalker's; the possessive form doesn't have to be part of a piped link. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me. You can notify me (or others) by writing username here. Kind regards, and happy editing. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 11:57, 28 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You did everything right- except there is a copyright on the image so Commons won't accept it. The quickest way out of thye muddle is to upload the file again-- but this time, as a Fair Use File to English Wikipedia. You start the upload wizard up, but when you come to the 3 way statement DON'T say This is all my own work! Say I believe this is a copyrighted work that is Fair Use then just answer the rest of the questions. When it comes to the question about how this is minimal use SAY encased in an infobox. I could do it for you in 3 minutes but I think you will get more satisfaction if you solve it your self. I find you can screen grab cleaner images from letters home, which are pdfs like here. Its weird that we are in so quickly- and the website name hasn't changed. Get back to me if you want to. --ClemRutter (talk) 18:22, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Star Trek crossovers, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carol Marcus. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:08, 4 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Hi Mitchy Power! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. – 108.56.139.120 (talk) 04:37, 7 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Mitchy, do you think this is worth notablity for the Spider-Man draft? — ChannelSpider (talk) 17:31, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt it in this case. It can definitely be used as a source in relation for it being singleplayer. Multiplayer was only ever a pipe-dream, and it doesn't appear that the statement was made in response to public outcry, so until/if this "issue" becomes more notable I don't think it's worth mentioning. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:47, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
