It looks like you had a productive evening the other night, expanding Shirley, New Zealand and Ballantyne's fire by quite some. Well done. I hope you don't mind that I have restructured what you have added to the Shirley article. I see that you are a new editor, and possibly the best improvement to your editing would be made by providing your sources. It can be a bit complicated how to format sources, but the easiest way would be to place <ref></ref> tags into the text, and put the name of the book and the author (assuming your source is a book; it might be a website or a newspaper article, say) in between those tags. If you want to use reference tags and would like to learn more about it, please reply here and I can explain this in more detail.

As Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopaedia, text should be sourced, so that readers who are really interested in a topic can go back to where the facts come from. Many articles are poorly sourced and it would be 'nice' if sourcing could be improved. Sometimes, it is vital that sources are given, for example when claims are made that refute other facts stated in the article. To that end, I have removed the claim "but the true figure totalled around 500," from the Ballantyne's fire article. Feel free to put it back in, but please state your source for it when you do.
