Zia Cyber Force
[edit]Brief History and Activities
On March 5, 2015, the journey of Zia Cyber Force (ZCF) began through a Facebook group called “We Revolt” led by Faizal Khan. It was originally formed with the aim of promoting nationalist ideology and restoring democracy in cyberspace. On March 18, the group was renamed “Zia Cyber Force”. In the initial days, the organization played an active role in criticizing the government and creating awareness on national issues. A page called “Zia Cyber Force Media Cell” was launched for media promotion, which played a helpful role in promoting the party’s ideology.
First Anniversary and Seminar: On March 5, 2016, Zia Cyber Force organized a seminar to mark their first anniversary. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was the chief guest, who highlighted the activities of ZCF with great importance. In this seminar, BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia inspired the party members by saying, “You are our media,” which became a huge inspiration for the organization.
Crisis and Recovery of the Organization: The organization faced its first major crisis in 2017, when a hacker named Mujibur Rahman Manju hacked the ZCF Facebook group and through this, the organization’s name was used for bad purposes. However, the leaders of the organization quickly resolved this problem and started their activities with new enthusiasm.
Cyber Harassment and Struggle: During the Safe Road Movement in 2018, several members of ZCF were booked under Section 57 of the Cyber Security Act. Due to government repression, many members went into hiding to avoid arrest. However, the organization continues its activities in cyberspace as a front for the nationalist movement.
Social and Political Participation: Currently, Zia Cyber Force is actively participating in national and international issues. Their activities include organizing meetings and seminars, fact checking, online campaigns, and combating anti-government propaganda in cyberspace. In addition, ZCF participates in various humanitarian aid programs, such as distributing relief to flood victims in 2017 and 2018.
Future goals of the organization: Zia Cyber Force is working with the goal of inspiring the new generation of the country with nationalist ideals in the future. In addition, they plan to further expand cybersecurity and fact checking activities. The organization is working to promote transparent and corruption-free politics in cyberspace and restore democracy. MelindaMitchell24 (talk) 18:24, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
