Re: Eneco Tour

[edit]

Ha, nobody's faster than lightning...I just aim to please people to be punctual with the edits! Had prior experience of some German (probably don't remember as much as I used to) at school so I can write short phrases; but I had experience of the templating on there, before. Anything to help! You're welcome - allways --Maxxl2 (talk) 10:08, 12 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Infobox autoupdate/date

[edit]

Hmm...that would be a benefit considering the amount of times that a update on the date in the infobox is missed. Might be something for those that frequent Template talk:Infobox, but don't quote me on that. Just try and explain what you would like to have in the infobox there, and see if there is any help they can offer. Craig(talk) 18:29, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cole and Linda Porter image

[edit]

I see you have changed the details of this picture so that the woman is said to be Jean Howard. If you look at the original upload, including the reverse of the press photo, you will see that the woman is plainly stated to be Mrs Porter. I am quite prepared to believe that the press may have got this wrong (when don't they!) and the lady looks younger than Porter, not older as Linda was, but we still need something better than an unsubstantiated opinion. Have you got some citeable evidence that the woman is Ms Howard rather than Mrs Porter? Regards. Tim riley talk 14:17, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The talk page of the picture holds: According this article the lady alongside Cole Porter is not his wife Linda but Jean Howard. I hope this source is sufficient.

Thank you: that'll do me very well, and others too, I have no doubt. An interesting article, as well. I see from the notes at the end that the author also mistakenly took Ms Howard for Mrs Porter at first. Tim riley talk 17:49, 29 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
