Football qualifying tournament articles

[edit]

Hi mate, Great job on the 1984 European Championship article. Are you planning on doing the same thing for each of the qualifying tournaments. I made a start on 2002 FIFA World Cup qualification - UEFA Group 9 but there is a very stubborn editor who does not want the page to be standardised. Thanks. 03md 11:19, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Great. I might try and do some more of the World Cup articles then. 03md 11:28, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have made a few changes to the UEFA Euro 1984 qualifying Group 2 article, such as displaying the full name of the referee. I have also introduced a goalscorers table (see below) that is utilised in the 2010 World Cup articles. Can you use this format for the rest of the articles. It would also be useful if you could create short stub articles (just an infobox, a few sentences and categories) for any redlinked goalscorers, who should all have their own page. Thanks. 03md 15:02, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet top scorers

[edit]

Nice work on the Soviet top scorers template. The little "v" and "e" in the top left weren't working: you hadn't lined the title up correctly (it was linking to "top scorers" rather than "Top Scorers"). I just tweaked it to make it work properly. Keep up the good work, and have a drink on me (not literally, perish the thought..!).

Current club =/= retired

[edit]

Hi. Just read a new article that you created. Great to see articles about Norwegian footballers being created by a n on Norwegian. Just wanted to let you know about a pet peeve of mine. In the current club section of the infobox we are not supposed to put in retired etc. This information is possible to extract from other fields in the infobox and should be unneeded. This is also supported by the template instructions. Rettetast (talk) 00:02, 22 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Markh991! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to this article, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 03:12, 16 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA football articles

[edit]

Please be aware that you can't leave articles sitting in a redlinked (i.e. non-existent) category. If you want to file articles in a category called Category:2005–06 UEFA Cup, then you have to actually create that category first — if for whatever reason you can't or don't want to do that, then you need to either find another category that does exist, or leave them tagged as uncategorized until somebody else adds or creates a legitimate category. Hello, Markh991. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Michael Bochtler, for deletion because it's a biography of a living person that lacks references. If you don't want Michael Bochtler to be deleted, please add a reference to the article.

If you don't understand this message, you can leave a note on my talk page.

Thanks,  Velella  Velella Talk   13:08, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Herbert Grassler, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Red Bull Salzburg. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Antonio Marchesano (footballer) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Austria national football team results (1930–59), you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages József Tóth and Karl Koller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
