Thanks for stepping in; that was getting frustrating. Despite the self-reference to being an LCC in the Q3 report, WestJet's business model does fit with the definitions given in the low-cost carrier article too. CFV2 (talk) 04:25, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Awk
Would you be interested in becoming acquaintances? My name is Aaron. My email is my username here at uchicago DAHT eddu. I think it's interesting you care about the AWK page. When I lived in Japan and was in graduate school there for chemical physics, I had to support myself for like six months as I applied for a scholarship, and I got a job programming at the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics. They had a rudimentary system running on some painfully slow old Sun box that converted LaTeX journal articles to an entire static HTML website they would upload to a separate webserver, but at that time was still outputting in HTML 1.0. Basically really ugly, and every sup/subscript was rendered to a GIF.
I didn't know Perl and Python wasn't yet under my radar, and what they were using was written in AWK by a recent graduate, but it was really just a long list of switches with some overly specific regexps built in. So what I did is implement a rudimentary TeX parser which would process all of the articles, run some of the text and the equations themselves through LaTeX2HTML, and then build a (still) static website with frames and such. It was pretty slick for me. Unfortunately I fell behind on their "Version 2.0" because of my research, and they turned elsewhere, but it bridged me.
The point of this story is, I love (G)AWK, and I always appreciate someone else who does. What do you study? Aschoeff 01:34, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

mistake on Paamayim Nekudotayim
The bot added Paamayim Nekudotayim to WikiProject Judaism. This is incorrect because the article is computer science- and not Judaism-related, despite the Hebrew title. An understandable error but incorrect nonetheless. Just thought I'd mention is. --Makaristos 20:06, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, Makaristos! The bot is working on a list of categories provided to me by WikiProject Judaism. If there might be more errors related to Paamayim Nekudotayim and a category that article is in, I suggest mentioning to them that at least one of the categories is incorrect - perhaps you could provide them with a couple articles that have been tagged that shouldn't? They have said they'll be reviewing all the articles to make sure they haven't over-bannered. Thanks for your input! And sorry for any inconvenience! -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 02:59, 1 September 2007 (UTC)

KVAN
Nice catch - I've removed the reference to Van Nuys Airport from the page completely now, and checked that KVNY is already a redirect to the airport's article. Thanks! Mlaffs (talk) 15:56, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
External links to American Jewish University home page
---Response from Reggieknopoff regarding American Jewish University external links--- Hi Makaristos. I completely understand your concern. The only problems I have are with not having external links on Robert Wexler (rabbi)'s page, seeing as he is the president of the university, and on Michael Berenbaum's page, since he is currently teaching here.
Please let me know if this is OK.
Thank you!!

- I also completely understand that. =) I have added links to their respective pages on the AJU site. I hope those are ok.
- thanks

- An abuse filter will now stop the troublesome edits and collect attempt data.

An exciting opportunity to get involved!
As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 23:07, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
BS"D
Hey there, Sagi Nahor here, just w/regards to the principles of Judaism page:
Any movement post 'enlightenment' cannot be regarded as authentic Judaism.
Reform 'Judaism' is one of the most comical and contemptible ideologies in society.
I have not the time to fight against a group of ignoramus am aratzim or goyim as they try in their wisdom to define what is and isnt universal to Judaism.
I have said my piece.
Goodbye. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sagi Nahor (talk • contribs) 18:32, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

El Nora Alilah
Hi, in the text of your article you only provided a transliteration of the piyyut from Hebrew, but not an actual translation into English. I've added the page to the list of pages needing translation as in its current form, the article isn't all that much use to anyone who does not speak a reasonable amount of Hebrew. I thought it would be good manners to let you know, in case you have a preferred translation that you would like to supply on your own account.
Many thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.84.86 (talk) 01:03, 5 September 2010 (UTC)
