Disambiguation link notification for June 28
Hi. When you recently edited Strictly Come Dancing (series 4), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nicholas Owen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for trying to keep Wikipedia free of vandalism. However, one or more edits you labeled as vandalism, such as the edit at Windows 7, are not considered vandalism under Wikipedia policy. Wikipedia has a stricter definition of the word "vandalism" than common usage, and mislabeling edits as vandalism can discourage newer editors. Please read Wikipedia:NOTVAND for more information on what is and is not considered vandalism. Thank you. JetBlast (talk) 16:38, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Your recent Warning?....

- 201.230.216.87 had a single edit dated March 2010.
I've reverted the errant Warning on that IP's talk page and wanted to let you know. Thanks, Shearonink (talk) 16:03, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
- This was actually a good warning and I have restored it: within 10 minutes this IP created 3 talk pages of non-existent articles, each saying only Bold text. They are not now visible in its contributions because MadGuy tagged them G8 and I deleted them all. The warning seems to have stopped him. JohnCD (talk) 16:16, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Unexplained changes to Mass Effect Races
Hi
Apologies - I am fairly new to the etiquette of Wikiepedia
I edited out some duplicated paragraphs, plus moved some paragraphs around in order to preserve a sense of linearity to the Human and Batarian History sections.
I suspect that two people have copy-pasted in data from the Mass Effect Wiki wholesale without reading what was there first, and as a result the page is in need of serious tidying.
Hope this helps

OrphanReferenceFixer: Help on reversion
Hi there! I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. Recently, you reverted my fix to Paralympic Games.
If you did this because the references should be removed from the article, you have misunderstood the situation. Most likely, the article originally contained both <ref name="foo">...</ref>
and one or more <ref name="foo"/>
referring to it. Someone then removed the <ref name="foo">...</ref>
but left the <ref name="foo"/>
, which results in a big red error in the article. I replaced one of the remaining <ref name="foo"/>
with a copy of the <ref name="foo">...</ref>
; I did not re-insert the reference to where it was deleted, I just replaced one of the remaining instances. What you need to do to fix it is to make sure you remove all instances of the named reference so as to not leave any big red error.
If you reverted because I made an actual mistake, please be sure to also correct any reference errors in the page so I won't come back and make the same mistake again. Also, please post an error report at User talk:AnomieBOT so my operator can fix me! If the error is so urgent that I need to be stopped, also post a message at User:AnomieBOT/shutoff/OrphanReferenceFixer. Thanks! Hi MadGuy7023. Earlier you reverted an editor page blanking Can Players Who Specialize In Low Hand Games Play Horse Poker?. edits
I removed the references to John Cornwell, because as is stated later in the article, with references, he has recanted much of what he has said. Yet the article quotes what he said before he recanted. There is much evidence to refute his positions, which is why he recanted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.58.61.127 (talk) 19:11, 19 September 2012 (UTC)
How do I write a post to you? I deleted sections which were based on John Cornwell because he has been disproved and recanted much of what he wrote. Hello! Can you please explain why you deleted my post?
Political commentator, television host, and author, Bill Maher, has stated in his New Rules segment on February 3, 2012, "Atheism is a religion like abstinence is a sex position," indicating that atheism cannot possibly be considered a religion, and the notion of such is as absurd as calling the absence of sex, sex. Hello MadGuy7023, I am a student at Clemson University working on a project that requires me to edit a page on Wikipedia. I noticed that you took interest in an article titled "single-sex education" and I was wondering if you have any advice for editing articles. I'm trying to edit the "mixed-sex education" article and I would appreciate any help you have to offer. Thank you for your consideration, Ttenneb42 (talk) 14:19, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
- Um... the only thing I did on that article was revert vandalism, which does not mean I am that interested in the article. Anyway, when you edit articles you may need to consider the following:
- All articles must adhere to a neutral point of view.
- I noticed you have made edits to your sandbox. Obviously sandboxes are meant to be used for testing, but I assume you already know about that.
- When you add content to articles, you may need to add sources. Further information on this can be found at WP:V
- You should also try your best to fill in the edit summary field, as this us useful to other users when they are viewing the page history.
- This is all that I can come up with for now, but if you have any other questions, you can ask them here. Hope this helps. MadGuy7023 (talk) 16:37, 18 October 2012 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Volcanic field shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Vacation9 (talk) 21:11, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- I have told Vacation9 that this warning was not appropriate, because your edits were reversions of obvious vandalism, which is allowed under WP:NOT3RR #4. JohnCD (talk) 23:32, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for that. MadGuy7023 (talk) 21:28, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

> Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Template:James Blake singles, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. Apologies, I have tried to do it right this time. This page (about the Joni Mitchell song "A Case of You") is repeatedly being used to publicise a minor musician "James Blake", in a clearly abusive way.Sircharge (talk) 23:10, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 12
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Could you strike your warning?
Could you strike your warning? While the editor had blanked the content at Cameron Powrie, the content they had removed was really inappropriate and has now been blanked by an admin. Thanks for your consideration. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 00:28, 18 November 2012 (UTC)

Are 99% of edits about nine inch penises vandalism? Why, probably, yes. But mine wasn't. At least the bot has the excuse of not actually understanding wider context. But you, as a human being, really ought to and I gave a decent edit summary which explains where I'm coming from. Have a look at the circumstances behind this scandal and you'll see I am not making "unconstructive" edits but in fact ones that are entirely relevant to the chappy and his love of teenage girls. 46.226.191.225 (talk) 00:24, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

- No problem. I just thought the IP was controversially blanking the page as a form of vandalism. After all, Huggle usually puts blankings at the top of the list. MadGuy7023 (talk) 19:26, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
i changed it because in the book, which i have read many time, it is clear that alan does like her as it is the girl he had a crush on at the book store also he gave her his amulat which is why he gets a mark, and does not find her annoying. Also nick does grow fellings for her but whatever, you think you know it better change it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.11.157.125 (talk) 22:19, 18 December 2012 (UTC)

Man I'm sorry if I atack JGreb. I'm tired of his revertings, I'm upset with his actions. He never takes the trouble to read the sources that I put in the articles, and reverts threat rudely abusing their authority.
