We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Nicklandimage.png

Hi Nicklandimage. YouTube screenshots are going to be assumed to be under copyright protection when the source video is released under the standard YouTube license; thus, such screenshots can't be uploaded to Wikipedia without copyright holder WP:CONSENT. There's some more information on this at c:COM:SCREENSHOT and c:COM:YOUTUBE, but there needs to be a clear indication the the YouTube creator has released their original work under a "Creative Commons - Attribution" for Wikipedia to host it, and that's not the case with respect to www.youtube.com/watch?v=8byZUj0vmwE. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:08, 23 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
