I have just noticed that you deleted a page called Shit Disturbers. Although there are alot of unheared actors and you believe that it is just speculation, it is not. I am asking you to repost the page or atleast explain to me on the talk page why you deleted it. Thank-you.--Cryptonit666

Hello, I'm sorry that I have reposted the article. Could you tell me what I would need to do in order to make the article creditable and verifiable for Wkipedia?

Rio Vista, Alpine, NJ

[edit]

Please stop deleting the Rio Vista, Alpine, New Jersey page. I created it as part of WikiProject New Jersey, and I am purposely creating it as a stub. It will be expanded upon a later date.

Thanks. --AlistairJQ 03:16, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Teach Kentucky

[edit]

Dear administrator,

Earlier today I created an article on Teach Kentucky, a Non-Profit program similar to Teach for America. It was speedily deleted although I did not create it for advertising purposes nor think that it did so.

As I strongly believe in the program and think that its inclusion merits an entry in an such an encyclopedia, how would you prefer me to proceed? Should I request an "undelete," request you to write the article, link to Teach for America, or to another area?

Thank you very much for the assistance.

List of Enigma Springs episodes

[edit]

Deleting it was probably a good move, but if it comes back, note that the subject is already covered at Webisodes of Paranoia (Volume 1). I was making it into a redirect when you deleted it. Suggest leaving it deleted. Maybe a redirect at Enigma Springs would be useful, but the notability is so marginal I'm not going to create it. --John Nagle 02:47, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Apidej article

[edit]

In Muay Thai, a fighter is usually known only by his first name/fighting name, his "surname" during his fighting career is actually only the name of the gym that he fights with, and it changes throughout the course of his career. Therefore entries about muay thai fighters should probably be titled only by their first name, except in special cases. --Maverick34 06:09, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Lucky, I am new to Wiki and have been asked to get an article up on Wiki about the "Well I Never Knew That!" campaign to make a new word and/or the associated books. The BBC have already conducted over 50 interviews/programmes about it. How can I get this information on Wiki? Thank you.

SparkPeople Posting

[edit]

Hello,

I'm an employee at SparkPeople.com and noticed yesterday that there was a posting about SparkPeople (which was an accurate description of our site) but that you took it down. I've never posted anything about SparkPeople but have seen several posts in the past all that have been deleted - i'm just curious what we would have to do in order to get a listing that wouldn't be deleted.

We are a legitimate site, and as the last post mentioned, Business Week Online recently awarded SparkPeople as "Best of the Web" in the Health category.

Your help would be much appreciated - thanks! Tim

Edit: Please e-mail me and let me know your thoughts so that we can properly submit!

AppWorx Corporation page

[edit]

Hi.

One of our vendors produces a job scheduler that we use. I wanted to add a Wikipedia page about the product and about the vendor. They evidently tried to put up a page, AppWorx Corporation, but it got deleted a few months ago. Figuring that it was full of marketing speak, I sent one of their people a link to a sample page with encyclopedic-style information about another similar vendor, asking them to re-write the page using that sort of format. Once written, I said I would go edit it as a sort of quality control method to be sure that it had appropriate content for this medium.

So, yesterday someone there posted a page, evidently working from the format that I suggested on the United Devices page. They sent me a link to review, and by the time I got there, it had been deleted again (this time by you).

Can you help me understand what the criteria that their information isn't meeting that other company identity pages are? My intent is to create an informational page about the vendor and the product, from the standpoint of someone who isn't a part of their organization, that will give people looking for information on the company the good and bad about both.

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Seoluv

[edit]

I saw you spoke with the original author of the article Seoluv regarding his keeping the article. As it stands now, the article is STILL filled with advertising speak and even if cleaned up I'm not sure the site meets WP:WEB. Wildthing61476 18:21, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just to add to my previous comment, if you go to the talk for Seoluv, you will see that he has made some rather strong threats towards me. Wildthing61476 19:33, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Not to mention the article was included in the deletion decision at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spencer rogers. The author unsuccessfully made the same arguments there that he seems to have been making in his emails to you. I've deleted the article per speedy category g4 and advised the author that he should proceed through deletion review. Please let me know if there's some reason I shouldn't have done this. Thanks, NawlinWiki 20:04, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Dynamo article

[edit]

I was just looking to delete it too but have another look if you get a chance: He has a television show and it seems from http://www.dynamoworld.com he's got contracts with MTV and Warner? Just thinking out loud.... Glen 23:56, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hell yeah, Im with you. We're getting so much cruft and corporate crap now that we barely can keep on top of that - so messy or completely malformed pages should almost be a speedy criteria. Dont trouble yourself, Im sure he'll recreate - they always do! Glen 00:02, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I've just uploaded an article about Dynamo which has been deleted. I'm new to this so have recreated it but just wanted to check it's ok... Dynamo has had TV shows with Channel 4 (UK) and MTV worldwide and is about to release his debut DVD through Warner vision international. He has starred in the Raconteurs video for Hands which you can find on youtube and if you do a search on Dynamo Magician you can find numerous articles from the Guardian, The observer, The sun etc etc on hom. Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply

Colour Revolt

[edit]

I was still working on my article on the band, Colour Revolt, when you deleted. I'm not completely familiar with wikipedia customs, but I'm not sure what the copyright infringement note was for. I had just posted my first copy of their band description left on their website, when I needed to check the code to add sources. I was getting ready to come back and edit the article of needless information when you deleted it and prevented recreation.

Which Article?

[edit]

Hi Lucky. Is this about the Ego Defense Mechanisms? If so, can you please restore it long enough for me to retrieve my 5+ hours of work?? Or copy and paste the copy into an email to me?? Or paste into my talk page?

I did NOT simply copy and paste. I was creating the article under the PROPER name - which is NOT "Defence Mechanisms". 99% of that article was MY WORK. I did integrate SOME of the descriptive material, but all the rest was MY HARD WORK drawn from many places. Please let me get my hard work so I can work with it offline...

Why so harsh? Why immediate deletion without trying to contact me first?

And then, please, tell me how I should get permission to write the article with a redirect to the new page. -I am Kiwi 00:37, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lucky, thank you SO MUCH. I am in tears. I don't know if I worked 5 hours or 8. I was up all night. Thank you, Thank you, for letting me retrieve what I had done. I will never ever fail to keep my own copies.
Please let me know what I should do?? I'm a newbie at editing and while I have tons of enthusiasm, I really DO want to work within the rules. I didn't think it was polite to start re-doing a page that hasn't been touched in years since my changes would be so far-reaching. It seemed terribly rude and presumptious. My idea was to let anyone interested look at what I had done and then ask Wiki if it could exist. I forgot to go to their page and explain what I was doing. I'll never do that again either.
Thank you again - THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU -I am Kiwi 01:00, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm was still crying from happiness when I went to my talk page and found the sweet note and the lovely smile you left for me. I don't understand all the things that you said, but that was the only article. I have started 3 stubs today, but they should all still be there. :o)
I thank you again for making it possible for me to retrieve all my hours of hard work. I guess I need to find a mentor with time who can help me along. The mark-up is hard to learn and there seem to be a MILLION Wiki teaching pages, policy pages, and administrative pages. I need an index. Is there one???? Thank you again, so very very much. And thanks again for leaving me a smile. -I am Kiwi 01:11, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
????? Redirects? I've never done a redirect. I didn't even do any editing of NPD - I just looked to see what was done. I AM composing a response for the talk page. Now I realize why my inside links to NPD were not working all for the past few hours. Redirected?? To where?? In fact, on one page, a whole bunch of links I put in were red... and I KNEW they were real pages. And these redirects have MY name on them in the history?? My mind is totally muddled.
PS: thank you for the kind words. I am very happy getting involved here. It is highly satisfying. I no longer watch CSI. Or anything else for that matter during Prime time! That's how bad I have it. This is tons more fun than passive entertainment. -I am Kiwi 01:22, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vamp star on deletion review

[edit]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Vamp star. Since you closed the deletion discussion for (or speedy-deleted) this article, your reasons on how or why you did so will be greatly appreciated in the above review. -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 03:35, 13 October 2006 (UTC).[reply]

"Vanity article"

[edit]

The article "Hobocore" is not a vanity article. Lil J@y died recently and would've liked to have more people involved with the hobocore movement. His wife, Rosie, asked me to write up an article for him about it. I will copy the information and work on it outside of Wikipedia, but I do play on putting it back up.

Alex Han

[edit]

I see you've deleted Alex Han as vanity (formerly was deleted as copyvio). We've gotten permission to use the text so it's no more a copyvio, and as a good faith sign, I?m restoring it, but it not being a copyvio doesn't mean it cannot be deleted by other means, so aFD it if you consider -- Drini 19:33, 13 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Sorry Lucky, but this is the only way I know to communicate with you. With that, please contact me again and describe what 'a tremendous amount of notability' means with regards to acceptance of an article on Wikipedia. It seems to be quite a variable term; one that each administrator might approach with a different set of criteria. The article was simply created to document the musical compositions and effort of one composer. There is no attempt at agrandizment, but if simple length and context is at issue, then is it possible to give the author some time to expound on the subject, without quickly deleting the article? Thanks..

Cool old car stuff

Glad to be of service - I saw that one when it went through the nomination for DYK. Burgess Wise somehow managed to miss that one when he was compiling his book. --AlbertHerring 01:35, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I love finding things like that. One of these days I mean to trundle down to the library, check out the book I found with the story of the "Varmint of Burke's Garden" (a coyote which terrorized a small part of southwest Virginia back in the 20's), and write it up for here. I haven't found a damn thing about it online, either. --AlbertHerring 01:45, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow...who does something like that to his car? And for 40 years, no less.

Wait...maybe I don't want to know the answer to that. --AlbertHerring 01:53, 14 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jaggi Vasudev

[edit]

Hello there, I created a page Jaggi Vasudev which was immediately deleted by you stating that it was a copy vio. I did refer that site for some details like his place of birth, his graduation, etc., but I don't think it is a copy vio. After all you cannot create contents from thin air, it has to be refered from websites, books and such. While there are plenty of articles, the entire content of which were copied from external websites surviving in wikipedia, I wonder why this article was deleted as I just refered a few minor details! I request you to restore the page or atleast guide me how to create articles. -srini 07:05, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understan why the article of Dr. Mendez-Picon has been deleted by you. He is a famous Gallician who saved my mother's life with a kidney transplant. I tried to remove the image as you instructed and rewrote the text yet you took offense and locked me out. i dont know what "NNbio" means.

Actually, I compiled the data myself from the internet, the incomplete last sentence was due to my trying to reedit it. Sorry, I wasn't aware of the strict guidlines, just trying to give a fair view of a great man.

Thanks for unlocking, ill try again once I gather some more info!

Request for protection on Labyrinth and First Date (Buffy episode)

[edit]

For the past 3-4 days (maybe longer even), these 2 pages have been the target of anon vandals. I put in a RfP, but although Minotaur was protected, the other 2 remained unprotected. I was wondering if you could take a look at it? I myself probably reverted over 10 edits in the past few days. - ||| antiuser (talk) (contribs) 02:31, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wondering if you have any thoughts on this user's current unblock request. As much as I'd like to AGF, that's a bit of a hard claim to swallow, with such a new account. *shrug* I guess if we did unblock, we could always put it back on pretty easy. Comments? I was sent a link to what makes bands crediable for Wikipedia standards, and I was wondering if you had a link to that. Well thanks in advance. (They sent it to me through a dicussion comment)

Government access television

[edit]

Can you check out the Government access organizations section of the Public access television article. In the past there had not been any organizations listed, but text stating that it was waiting for further contribution. Finally someone posted a Government access television show but under the wrong section. I thanked the individuals who had posted, moved them to the Government access organizations section, and told them to e-mail me if they had any questions. They e-maile me and said thanks.

Yesterday User:Seaneffel moved Fan Five (the Gov. show.) to the External Public access television section, and put his Gov. access tv channel under the Gov. access organizations. I moved Fan Five back to the Gov. access organizations section, clarified it 'was' Gov. access (before, I think Fan Five's wording of "...an example of Government access..." may have played a role in him choosing to make his changes.) thanked him in the edit summary, pointed out that Fan Five 'was' a Gov. access tv show, that a Gov. access show didn't 'have' to be gov. meetings, and said I was getting an Administrator to help (I also included one who watches vandalisim.)

I'm not accusing Sean Effel of vandalisim. He and I make numerous contributions to the Public access tv article. He is a coordinator I think of Cambridge, MA Public access tv, and I was the founder of Public access tv in Evansville, IN. Nevertheless, and in all due respect, some of his ideas aren't perfect. But, neither are mine. We both make spelling mistakes for example. But, removing a Government access tv show from the Government access organizations section, putting it in the External public access section, and replacing Fan Five with his own Government access organization in the Government access organizations was wrong I think.

I'm not accusing him of foul play, but I think he just didn't realize what he was doing hopefully. Can you please check it out, make sure he doesn't revert it back to the way he had it, and explain to him your reasons for doing so. Thanks.

Also, do you think it was wise of him to change the Public access, Educational access, Government access, Local origination, & etc television links sections to 'organizations' instead? I know that they are usually organizations but wouldn't an encyclopedia have them listed as 'channels?' Again, not accusing him of foul play but just want a second opinion. Thanks again. Hello, according to the MSG I got while trying to make a start on an article on a very difficult subject you autoblocked my ISP which was 64.12.116.200. This is becoming a bit of a common occurence for me, and I am maybe a bit suspicious that it is not just that I am on AOL, could you explain how while I am logged on using my username that I can still be autoblocked as to my ISP? This sounds almost like a bug in the systemJohn5Russell3Finley 23:48, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please restore PT-109

How does this page qualify for an immediate deletion? I was just 10 minutes into starting it. Could you please restore it?? --Sugarcaddy 00:09, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Beat me to it!

I was about to tag Cantsaymomentousoccasionitis for speedy deletion, so, with a negative response time, I think that qualifies for the speediest speedy deletion ever! Thanks. --JaimeLesMaths 03:03, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
