A reminder when merging
[edit]When redirecting articles, also remove the categories from the redirect, and remove the {{cvgproj}} tag (or whatever other project tags) from the talk page of said redirect. It helps maintain our categorization and assessment schema. Nifboy 04:54, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies about the talk page templates, but with regard to categories, I thought for certain cases it would be helpful to leave cat tags since people browsing the category in question would still be able to find them. However, I've since realized this isn't the practice on Wikipedia and will stop doing so in the future. Luatha 06:36, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Yu-Gi-Oh!
[edit]Your edits to Slifer the Sky Dragon, Obelisk the Tormentor, and The Winged Dragon of Ra have been reverted. Please do not make such massive edits like this in the future without prior discussion. The cards are notable enough to have their own articles and a merge/redirect is not necessary. The Clawed One 04:54, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- They're not, but you're right that I should have discussed it somewhere first. I suppose merging them into Egyptian God Cards would be the best course of action. Luatha 22:26, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
- Then begin a discussion, but it's likely not much will come of it. Honestly, the Yugioh pages here are pretty much dead. No one really edits them anymore, myself included. I think the pages are fine, you think otherwise, and odds are no one else will contribute. A discussion wouldn't actually help much.
- But, for the god cards, I think they each need their own article. I'm sure all the data could be merged into one, however. If you want to make a sandbox page and see how it looks before actually implementing a new structure, I think that would be a good idea. The Clawed One 03:34, 15 October 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Just a Closer Walk sample.ogg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Just a Closer Walk sample.ogg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:48, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Redirect of Mossflayer
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mossflayer, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mossflayer is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mossflayer, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit]Please stop introducing jokes into articles, such as those you created at Sistine Chapel. Wikipedia is a serious encyclopedia, and contributions of this type are considered vandalism. Continuing to add jokes and other disruptive content into articles may lead to you being blocked from editing. Stop clowning around VegitaU 23:46, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

The Twilight Zone
[edit]Hi Luatha, I just wanted to say thanks for your work on the episode Time Enough At Last. I thought that you might like to know that the other episodes of the original series have been converted over to the format you suggested. There still is alot of work to be done expanding or rewriting many of the episodes. If you have any free time and would like to help, it would be appreciated. Fair use rationale for File:Banned by PBS logo.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Banned by PBS logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:57, 12 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
