Hi. Per WP:NPOV, it's best to avoid inserting personal views such as "unbelievable moment" and "epic victory". Thanks. -- James26 (talk) 00:13, 20 February 2012 (UTC)

There is no primary topic for the name and in such cases, the disambiguation page should be located at the base name (i.e., should not have "(disambiguation)" appended). See WP:DABNAME. Cheers. older ≠ wiser 12:15, 26 July 2012 (UTC)
You've improved a lot but I fear that it is little too off GA status. I believe that if rushed, the article won't be getting it and the issues can't be possibly addressed within a month or some perhaps, if you agree, let me fail it for this time and then you may go for re-nom once addressed the issues. My initial 3 noms of GA failed but now, I've 6 of them. Don't ever feel down and Cheers! TheSpecialUser TSU 22:44, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
OK. Do whatever you think is the better option. But, what would happen if we wait a month? LlamaAl (talk) 23:38, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
- I can wait but it'll become too much and few points will be missed by me. I'm not just failing it. Since this is your first try at GA, I'll give a detailed review of what the article is in need of. If you address those issues, it is good to go. Since the issues are a bit more in number, it'll take me a while giving them. Happy editing! TheSpecialUser TSU 23:42, 29 August 2012 (UTC)
UFC on FX
Dude, what the hell are you doing with the UFC on FX event pages ? Why not seperate pages ? Like everything else.. And if you make 1 whole event page, make sure it is up to date and complete. Thanks SiMntjMMA (talk) 08:50, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
I don't know what are you talking about. I don't partcipate in the UFC on FX events in 2012 page, and I have NOT made any whole event page. Thank you for your time.
LlamaAl (talk) 21:09, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
We made the exact same edit at the same time.
The "Silva vs Sonnen" revert at Chael Sonnen. No edit conflict, it's just like my edit never happened. I'm not complaining, since the result is the same, just pointing it out because I've never seen that happen before. Maybe you haven't either. Thought it was an interesting coincidence. Anyway, take care. InedibleHulk (talk) 22:09, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
Very interesting. Happy editing! LlamaAl (talk) 13:09, 8 September 2012 (UTC)
September 2012
Your recent editing history at UFC 153 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. —Kerfuffler 00:53, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- I have reverted vandalism. I work very hard in MMA-related articles, and sincerely, IP's don't know how to participate in a talk page. Thank you.LlamaAl (talk) 01:07, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter; you could still be blocked for 3RR. I suggest you take it to WP:AIV. —Kerfuffler 01:22, 12 September 2012 (UTC)
- I accept the consequences of my edits. I'm not the only one reverting out there.LlamaAl (talk) 01:25, 12 September 2012 (UTC)

For your contributions to UFC related articles! You are doing really great work in improving them and updating. We do need more dedicated editors like you in specific areas of wiki, like you are with UFC topic. Keep it up! For now, I've left the issues at Talk:Matt_Hughes_(fighter)/GA1 and will be done by today night in adding the changes needed for c/es. TheSpecialUser TSU 00:52, 16 September 2012 (UTC) |
Re: Hi
Hello. In regards to [[Category:Scheduled mixed martial arts events]] refers to Upcoming mixed martial arts events (its former name). As these events have already passed, it is unnecessary to have that category there. Thanks for your edits.(Justinsane15 (talk) 06:06, 19 September 2012 (UTC))

Request for your help
Hi there. I've seen the changes you've been making to UFC 120, as well as the improvements you've been making to 148 and Matt Hughes. Thanks for the help with 120. Was wondering if I'd be able to get your help on User:Paralympiakos/Sandbox 2 (not sure if that link will work, but if not, there's a link on my main userpage). I'm trying to source all of the bonus awards given out in the UFC. I've filled in almost all of the winners (as it started at Ortiz vs. Shamrock), but sourcing the winners takes FOREVER. I'm wondering if, when you had spare time, you could help out starting from some of the 2008/2009 events (e.g. UFC 90 onwards), since I'm working backwards. If you can, that'd be great, but just a little advice, copy (ctrl+c) any work you do before saving, in case we get edit conflicts, or you'll accidentally lose any progress you may have made. Thanks. Paralympiakos (talk) 23:37, 29 September 2012 (UTC)
- OK. I'm very happy to help. I have holiday this whole weekend, so I can source everything I can.
LlamaAl (talk) 14:06, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for your help. Sorry if I sound bossy, as I don't mean to be, but could you do a few at a time and then save the changes? (Just rather than doing one at a time, then saving). Just helps out the edit history, in finding old stuff if I ever need it. If you find any inaccuracies, then feel free to just correct them. The current page of List of UFC bonus recipients has lots of errors, e.g. UFC 120 was $60k, not $50k. Thanks! Paralympiakos (talk) 15:07, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on UFC on Fuel TV: Korean Zombie vs. Poirier, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Mtking (edits) 08:30, 24 October 2012 (UTC)
DYK for Finney's HIT Squad
On 25 October 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Finney's HIT Squad, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that HIT Squad, founded by UFC Hall of Fame inductee Matt Hughes in 2007, changed its name to Finney's HIT Squad when it was purchased in 2011? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Finney's HIT Squad. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Blocked for sockpuppetry
This account has been blocked from editing for a period of 1 month for sock puppetry per evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/BStudent0. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but using them for illegitimate reasons is not. Once the block has expired, you're welcome to make useful contributions. If you believe that this block was in error, and you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. LlamaAl (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I want to say that the block is no longer necessary because I understand what I am blocked for, I will not do it again, and I will keep doing productive contributions. I am here to make this encyclopedia better, because I love editing here. In the future, I will work harder in my WikiProject, Mixed martial arts. Along with User:Paralympiakos, I am the premiere editor there.
I am a minor aged editor. My sister is even younger than me. Please believe me when I say she sold me her account for one dollar.
Also, I want to finish with my DYK nominations. I have put all my efforts there, I do not want to lose them.
I am very sorry and embarrassed about this, I never wanted to cause problems in Wikipedia. I hope you understand me.--LlamaAl (talk) 21:27, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You have admitted you violated WP:SOCK. You admitted you even socked in one of the most serious ways possible: multiple votes in an AFD. You claim above to be the "premiere editor" on a range of articles (not true). Much of your explanation (selling an account for a dollar) are wholly unbelievable, but even still would show an incredible lack of judgement that is NOT something we can consider on Wikipedia. I personally find it surprising that this block is only in effect for one month: this should have been indefinite. I do not believe that you will mature significantly enough in 30 days to return to this project, however, you actions/edits once December rolls around will be proof one way or another. The "sister" account will not be unblocked, ever. It's contributions remain to remind us of your behaviour. This account will not be unblocked right now - you'll need to find a new hobby for a month. However, when December comes, your contibutions will be right here waiting. Note: do not edit Wikipedia at all while you are blocked, as that's evading a block, which will cause this current block to become indefinite (✉→BWilkins←✎) 09:08, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

My sinceres apologies about the IP sock. I only was trying to stop Mtking. 1.Admit to it. I admit I socked using my IP and User:Miufus, which was an account created by my sister Beatriz.
2.Make people trust you again. I definitely won't do it again. I will not make any edits, using any account or anonymously. You have my word.
3.Tell us why you are here. I want to make this a better encyclopedia. If this unblock request succeeds I would: *Remove a Barnstar given by my sock account from User:LlamaAl. *Get more involved in WP:DYK. *See my GAN, UFC 148. I also would help to address issues at the GAN UFC 120, if presented. *Improve UFC events articles since UFC 153. *Improve my userpage, using tabs; and my talk page, archiving threads and changing its format. *Join Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation. *Start to participate in AfDs constantly. *Finish Abel Trujillo and nominated it to DYK afterwards (I was creating it at my sandbox before my block). *Improve the article Fedor Emelianenko, and nominate it to GA. *Improve the article UFC 152, and nominate it to GA. *Ask for reviewer rights and start to work at WP:NPP. *Download Huggle and fight vandalism using it. *Download Stiki and use it to detect and revert vandalism. *Etc... Thanks. Good day to you.--LlamaAl (talk) 06:10, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

But leaving that aside, and accepting that I may be misunderstanding you, are you saying that you are using a password which she created, and presumably still knows?--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 21:53, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

- I have just reset your block log to one month from today, as you have been editing Wikipedia anonymously. If I catch you doing it again, I will extend your block rather than just resetting it, and you will be blocked for two months. Elen of the Roads (talk) 01:07, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
- That's OK. User:Mtking is AfDing and redirecting UFC pages, and he does not have the right to do so, he is only a rollbacker. By the way, I have noticed that my block is set to expire on December 8, 2012, not in one month from yesterday. Thanks.--LlamaAl (talk) 17:57, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
- First, Mtking is as entitled as any other editor to send pages to AfD or redirect a page. It is not necessary to be an admin to do either (which seems to be what you are implying). Second, look again. Your block is set to expire on 4 December. Elen of the Roads (talk) 20:27, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
- The only way that I could see an unblock working - especially due to the lies, WP:SOCK, WP:EVADE and general combatative attitude is to implement a topic-ban on all MMA-related articles broadly construed (including participants, etc). You would also need to keep a million miles away from Mtking. Obviously, you would also be limited this and only this account - even editing anonymously would be a violation of this. This would allow you to slowly re-build community trust in your editing and behaviour overall. Such a topic-ban could be reviewed after a minimum of 6 months. We do have minor-aged editors who are net positive to the project, and follow the rules: you're not one of them, and in fact you're personally making it difficult for future minors to edit this project successfully. As such, restrictions such as above would be an absolute neccessity for you to return to editing here. Any violation - even one slip-up - would lead to an immediate indefinite block with no appeal for at least a year as you would have proven to the community that you fail to have the maturity required to edit this project. Thanks for uploading File:UFC 155 poster.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Why did you tag this as "unreferenced"? All the content has cited sources. Aymatth2 (talk) 03:11, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Abel Trujillo
The notability tag is mainly for notice of problem rather than a threat to delete - that would be the PROD or an AfD. That said being given three chances is not the same as competing more than twice. I actually understand the he had bad luck in the draw but really if it does get deleted - it it be recreated soon enough. The DYI issue is something else - personally I would have not nominated it both for the reason given and the fact that a new article usually goes through a whole lot of edits before it settles down. If you feel that the tag would interfere in the nomination - you are welcome to remove it. As I said its not the same as a AfD or PROD. Cheers.Peter Rehse (talk) 07:05, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you. --LlamaAl (talk) 13:35, 10 December 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for December 13
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Abel Trujillo, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page WEC (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I think that the flags for the top three fights can be re-added as a case can be made they are representing TeamAus and TeamUK. Mtking (edits) 02:39, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

deletions done, histmerge?
Hey, I deleted those sandboxes you tagged for U1, before I realized you were copy and paste moving them to the mainspace. You know about WP:CUTPASTE? I don't think it's a super big deal since you'd be the only contributor either way but I kind of think we're supposed to keep the history even if you build it in your userspace. I think I should undelete those sandboxes and merge the histories into the articles. Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't been around in a long time. What do you think? Peace, delldot ∇. 04:02, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- You are right, it is better to preserve the history. --LlamaAl (talk) 04:05, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- Ok, good deal, will do. Peace, delldot ∇. 04:06, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- Oh, whoops again, I realized after I did the first one that I probably don't have to worry about the attribution history since it's all your work so it would be attributed to you when you did the cut and paste move (also I was thinking these were articles you created in the userspace but it looks like you were tweaking existing articles). I asked some knowledgeable folks on IRC and they said it was fine, so I'm not going to worry about the others unless you think I should. Peace, delldot ∇. 04:29, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- If the IRC people says it is fine, no problem. --LlamaAl (talk) 15:04, 15 December 2012 (UTC)

I saw it, but didnt agree. it's pointless to remove flags. Since the beggining of wikipedia there were flags. Nonsense decision. — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheAmazingChandler (talk • contribs) 01:19, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
I got it and accept it. But you guys should worry with things like the people who always wants to delete UFC records (who appears in every few months and they achieved that goal with UFC 155 and 156) and the people who do vandalism on the pages, not removing the nationality of the fighters. But I respect the decision. Thanks. TheAmazingChandler (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 01:36, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
Flag Clarification
Thank you for the clarification on flags for fight cards. I was unaware there was discussion on the topic of flags. Personally, I like the flags, but will adhere to the agreed standard. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Whispergoodguy (talk • contribs) 03:38, 16 December 2012 (UTC)
From the RfC: ...flags are inappropriate for inclusion in results tables unless the competition is established as taking place between fighters as a representative of a particular country. In the case of this event, I'd say that the flags are beneficial in the table because fighters did represent their countries (at least for most of the bouts). - (talk page stalker) LlamaAI, do have a read of the discussion @ Talk:UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs. Pearson there is a case that the fights (and only the fights) that formed part of The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes could be seen as representative. Mtking (edits) 19:23, 16 December 2012 (UTC)

An idea to stop the MMAdness on wikipedia.
Why create an omnibus separating the free events by type. Like UFC on Fox, UFC on FX, UFC on FUEL TV, and so on. And for PPV numbers we also have UFC 1-10, UFC 10-20 and so on in incrimants of 10? We can also made an omnibus page for the TUF Finales. But they must be AS detailed as the stand alone articles. And very notable events like UFC 94 and UFC 148 must have their own page. Also needs to be updated and have NO spelling or grammatical errors. Can this be an idea to stop the madness over MMA on wikipedia? JonnyBonesJones (talk) 08:34, 19 December 2012 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Non-admin closures are limited to uncontroversial cases. As there are many policy-based !votes here for "merge", "redirect", or "delete", I suggest very strongly that you immediately self-revert this inappropriate closure. Thanks. --Randykitty (talk) 08:47, 22 December 2012 (UTC)

DYK for Abel Trujillo
On 23 December 2012, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Abel Trujillo, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that professional mixed martial arts fighter Abel Trujillo was expected to make his UFC debut at UFC 151, but it became the first-ever cancelled event in the organization's history? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Abel Trujillo. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |
