[edit]

Hello, WP:The Wikipedia Library has record of you being approved for access to JSTOR through the TWL partnership described at WP:JSTOR . You should have recieved a Wikipedia email User:The Interior or User:Ocaasi sent several weeks ago with instructions for access, including a link to a form collecting information relevant to that access. Please find that email, and follow those instructions. If you were not approved, did not recieve the email, or are having some other concern or question, please respond to this message at Wikipedia talk:JSTOR/Approved. Thanks much, Sadads (talk) 21:17, 5 August 2014 (UTC) Note: You are recieving this message from an semi-automatically generated list. de.wiki

[edit]

Hello, just wanted to let you know that I looked through the discussion on de.wiki that you linked in WikiProject Philosophy talk. I am a little saddened that there you seemingly accuse me of being a sockpuppet without notifying me at all or giving me the opportunity to provide explanations (perhaps I am mistaken? I do not speak German and so am relying on my browser's automatic translations which is of course imperfect). You cite changes made to my user page by Edward Mordake and a supposed similarity between my edits and Phlsph7.

On the Edward Mordake edit: Mordake and I got into an extensive dispute at Talk:Kanye West/Archive 8#Genre. Mordake repeatedly removed "hip hop" from West's listed genres and I found the dispute amusing. Therefore, I compiled some discussion from that page and other talk pages (I forget exactly where now) and put them into a page User:Alduin2000/A bizarre exchange. However, Mordake took this to be an attack page (which was not my intention) and it was deleted by an admin (which I think is fair enough in retrospect). This is why I didn't contest Mordake's change to my page and I hope that clears up any weirdness surrounding that particular edit.

As to the similarity between my and Phlsph7's edits, it is true that we both make substantial edits to philosophy-related areas and sometimes are the sole editor of more obscure articles. However, despite your claims that I do this without outside input, I have gone to quite an effort to get outside input on the articles I edit. For one thing, I successfully put Quine–Putnam indispensability argument through the GA process and have nominated Working from Within: The Nature and Development of Quine's Naturalism up for GA as well. I have also listed the Quine–Putnam indispensability argument article at peer review to get comments from other editors. I'm not sure how much Phlsph7 puts his edits to outside input so I'm not even sure whether or not this distinguishes our edits. However, a bigger difference is that I also have an interest in topics such as YouTubers and other internet-related topics which I believe Phlsph7 does not take an interest in editing. I would appreciate it if you clarify these issues on de.wiki, or perhaps link to this comment, I'm not sure what would be most appropriate. Thank you. Apologies! It appears that I have indeed misread the discussion. The accusation was not from you but U-ji. Nonetheless, I would appreciate if my comments were conveyed on de.wiki or linked. Thanks and sorry for the misunderstanding! Alduin2000 (talk) 22:39, 28 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please understand that I don't have any insight into Ujis Suspicions. It would be better if you'd write him directly. It's great that you are that prolific and comply to the GA-process. The lack of feedback and oversight has (in my opinion) caused much of the problem we have with phlsph7s articles in DE-WP.06:21, 29 August 2022 (UTC) Leif Czerny (talk) 06:21, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The problem is that I do not speak German and so cannot provide explanations on the de.wiki page you link. I will reach out to U-ji though and see what happens from there. Thanks. Alduin2000 (talk) 09:45, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
OK, as of now, I have nothing to contribute. Leif Czerny (talk) 09:47, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. Sorry once again for the misunderstanding, and for if you felt the response to your comments on WikiProject Philosophy was not collegial. I do not have time to further review Phlsph7's edits but hopefully someone else can respond from WikiProject Philosophy. Have a good day. Alduin2000 (talk) 10:37, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
