You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Tullykelter Castle requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of :Martin of Braidlie
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Martin of Braidlie requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. KDS4444Talk 07:22, 3 August 2015 (UTC)
This source [1] seems to likely be unreliable per WP:SELFPUB (see WP:IRS as well). If you are the author of the information- even if it is a reliable source- you shouldn't use it excessively or add it to the external links section, see WP:SELFCITE.
That aside, your recent additions to Tullykelter Castle seemed to have an un-encyclopedic tone, and perhaps a WP:NOTESSAY infringement.
Anyhow, if I can be of any help or you have any questions feel free to reply here, as I'll be watching this page. Regards,—Godsy(TALKCONT) 05:47, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Clan Crozier
[edit]Hi, I noticed your Clan Crozier article. I would be interested to know what sources specifically say that this is an Armigerous clan, which is recognized by the Lord Lyon but does not have a recognized chief. It is not in the Scottish Clan Encyclopaedia which lists all of the recognized Armigerous clans. Also, the article does not follow the regular pattern of other clan articles. You might want to start by looking at Template:Infobox clan. Also, I should point out that when editing Wikipedia you are supposed to stick to published secondary sources and not primary sources. You might also want to check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Clans of Scotland.QuintusPetillius (talk) 09:51, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

[edit]You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article Clan Ellwood has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article was about a real person or group of people, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or an organized event, but did not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is actually significant enough for an encyclopedia article, you are free to re-create it, but this time you need to demonstrate that, which is best done by citing to reliable, secondary sources that are entirely unconnected to the topic.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:48, 22 September 2015 (UTC)

Billingford
[edit]Lawis, at your new article, Beck Hall, you state that the building is located in Billingford, Norfolk, but it appears that there are two placed named Billingford in Norfolk. I don't know which one it is. Could you please point the link to the right place, or let me know which one it should point to?
Thanks, Oiyarbepsy (talk) 11:49, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. .During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. slakr\ talk / 06:29, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit] You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Clan Eliott.
Your block, immediately above was for repeatedly adding this same material. You then started using a string of IP addresses - you will be blocked again, possibly permanently, if you keep re-adding this material - Arjayay (talk) 10:33, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Multiple accounts and your use of Wikipedia to promote off-wiki causes
[edit]It seems you have been using at least two IPs in addition to a registered account. A complaint about your edits was made at the edit warring noticeboard (permalink). The edit here by a 97.* IP who is presumably you is especially bizarre. I'm now trying to decide whether to indefinitely block your account for your usage of multiple accounts and the incompatibility between your goals and those of Wikipedia. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:56, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
- If you continue making other Wikipedia edits but can't find the time to respond to these questions I may go ahead with a block of your account. Lately I see you claiming that a non-Elliott shouldn't be editing about Clan Elliott. This is totally against Wikipedia's way of doing things. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 01:34, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
- I'd welcome your agreement to follow WP:POL in the future, and to cease editing as an IP. Your contributions to our clan articles seem like they belong on a personal web site, not an encyclopedia. We aim to use published sources for our facts, not quirky genealogy that comes from personal knowledge. I also find your arguments difficult to understand. See WP:CIR for some of our expectations. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 15:54, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Taking your posts on my talk as a response to the above questions. If you want this block lifted, I urge you to confirm that you will follow Wikipedia policy in the future. You should agree to wait for consensus before making any changes to Scottish clan articles. You should also confirm you will use only a single account to edit Wikipedia. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 16:39, 31 December 2015 (UTC)
