Hello, Khim1, and welcome to Wikipedia! Wikipedia is one of the world's fastest growing internet sites. We aim to build the biggest and most comprehensive encyclopaedia in the world. To date we have over 4 million articles in a host of languages. The English Language Wikipedia alone has over 1 million articles! But we still need more! Please feel free to contribute your knowledge and expertise to our site.

Here are a few good links for newcomers:

License tagging for Image:User-Khim1-CC boximage.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:User-Khim1-CC boximage.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:15, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Shih Tzu references

[edit]

Hello. I received your message. Certainly, there has been significant improvement, but many sections are still largely or entirely unreferenced. The "care" and "history" sections are particularly lacking. To quote the verifiability policy, "Material challenged or likely to be challenged, and all quotations, must be attributed to a reliable, published source." Someone who isn't familiar with the Shih Tzu might find it dubious that Shih Tzus are called "chrysanthemum dogs", that they "shed very little" or that they are "characterised by their intelligence" (the last two statements, if unreferenced, could be considered as "promoting" the breed, which is not appropriate). I hope this helps, and feel free to ask me any other questions. Regards, --Pharaoh Hound (talk) (The Game) 13:18, 7 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
