Wb0990's commentary on the article
I would say to work on the wording of your article, the first sentence uses the word express 2x. Also I would take out your second sentence or rephrase as you should not be addressing the readers as if you were talking to them through the computer screen. I thought your explanations of the locutionary act, illocutionary act, and perlocutionary act were well worded. Good job.
Jb8527a's response to peer review First of all, I would like to thank you for your response. In regards to your first suggestion, I have made the appropriate minor grammatical changes. As for your second comment, I also agree that that example is far to informal for this setting, and have changed it so that it is more demonstrative than conversational. Finally, I am curious as to what you found to be strong about my explanations of the locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts, as it was one of the major critiques offered by the other peer reviewer. Hana Mengesha's commentary on the article:
This was a very interesting section. Your content was neutral and balanced and you had reliable sources. The two things I would improve on is have a better structure when explaining theory of locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts. I also think this article could be improved if the set up to the first example was a little bit more formal. Overall, I thought this was a very interesting topic and a great start!
