Hi @JadenTravelling. You popped into the live chat help but no one was around to help.

Regarding your question: please look at WP:NMUSIC which outlines our notability criteria for musical topics. Basically, Spotify, Facebook, Instagram, and their own website are not useful sources for establishing notability. We need reliable, independent, secondary sources.

Hello @Qcne,

Thank you for the reply and getting back to me. I am trying to make sure to get this all right so the insight is helpful. Thank you! Do you happen to know if I can keep the references for FaceBook, Isntagram, and Spotify and just ADD to them? So instead of 7 references or sources that do not count I added it and say make it 14 total. 7 stronger resources and 7 of the original. Is that fine or do I need to remove the references completely from the work?

Hi @JadenTravelling.

Facebook and Instagram are never suitable references. You could link to their social media in an external links section, but read that page carefully to understand the restrictions.

What we need is a few high quality sources which are independent of the band. Not interviews with bandmembers; not press releases. We're looking for reviews of their music from known music journalists. Qcne (talk) 15:15, 4 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
