Anuja Kapur
[edit]Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Anuja Kapur. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. 64.134.64.190 (talk) 17:20, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
The article Anuja Kapur has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Eyesnore 17:23, 15 January 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Anuja Kapur
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Anuja Kapur requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Melcous (talk) 23:28, 15 January 2016 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Anuja Kapur, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

how can i prevent speedy deletion Please help me with...
Anuja Kapur 10:34, 30 April 2016 (UTC) Anuja Kapur
- Hi Anuja kapur001 to prevent a speedy deletion you need to address the issue raised (if possible). This means bring an article up to the minimum standards by the various polices including the Wikipedia:Notability standards. In future to avoid this problem create new articles via the Wikipedia:Articles for creation procedure using the draft area. Also please note that "Articles generally require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the topic" (see WP:42) - Cheers KylieTastic (talk) 12:35, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
- Anuja kapur001, articles are often deleted when they are seen as promotional vehicles which frequently happens when editors write articles about themselves (which is strongly discouraged). Wikipedia isn't LinkedIn and your lengthy draft needs to be cut way down to just those aspects of your career which are notable, not every single thing you have done. If you don't prune the draft article down, it will likely be deleted if you attempt to move it into the encyclopedia main space. I strongly encourage you to submit your draft, when it is ready, to Articles for Creation where an experienced editor can review it and spot any problems that might still exist. It will save you time and frustration in the long run. Liz Read! Talk! 12:41, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 16:45, 30 April 2016 (UTC)
Article deleted
[edit]I have (once again) deleted the article about you. You should take a look at WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Autobiography. Writing about yourself is strongly discouraged because it's very difficult to do so from a neutral point of view. If you indeed are "famous" as the article claimed, someone not associated with you will write about you on Wikipedia sooner or later. Huon (talk) 18:16, 30 April 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Anuja Kapur. If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Submitting the same or a similar highly promotional autobiography after it has already been declined is tendentious and may lead to a block. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:35, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
Conflict of interest in Wikipedia
[edit]Hi Indefatigable tanija. I work on conflict of interest issues here in Wikipedia. All your edits to date have been about your autobiography. It appears that you are not aware of our Conflict of Interest guideline and Terms of Use, and will have some comments and requests for you below.
Hello, Indefatigable tanija. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:
- avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
- instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.
Comments and requests
[edit]Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you want to be involved in articles where you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).
Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. Would you please disclose that you have a connection with Anuja Kapur on your user page (which is User:Indefatigable tanija - a redlink, because you haven't written anything there yet). Just something simple like: "I have a conflict of interest with regard to Anuja Kapur." would be fine. If you want to add anything else there that is relevant to what you want to do in WP feel free to add it, but please don't add anything promotional about Kapur there (see WP:USERPAGE for guidance if you like).
Once you disclose on your user page, the disclosure piece of this will be done.
As I noted above, there are two pieces to COI management in WP. The first is disclosure. The second is what I call "peer review". This piece may seem a bit strange to you at first, but if you think about it, it will make sense. In Wikipedia, editors can immediately publish their work, with no intervening publisher or standard peer review -- you can just create an article, click save, and viola there is a new article, and you can go into any article, make changes, click save, and done. No intermediary - no publisher, no "editors" as that term is used in the real world.
What we ask editors to do who have a COI and want to work on articles where their COI is relevant, is a) if you want to create an article relevant to a COI you have, create the article as a draft, disclose your COI on the Talk page using the appropriate template, and then submit the draft article through the WP:AFC process so it can be reviewed before it publishes; and b) And if you want to change content in any existing article on a topic where you have a COI, we ask you to propose content on the Talk page for others to review and implement before it goes live, instead of doing it directly yourself.
By disclosing and then following those "peer review" processes, editors with a COI can contribute where they have a COI, and the integrity of WP can be protected. We get some great contributions that way, when conflicted editors take the time to understand what kinds of proposals are OK under the content policies. (which I will say more about, if you want).
I hope that makes sense to you.
Will you please make the disclosure and agree to follow the peer review processes, when you want to work on any article where your COI is relevant? Do let me know, and if anything above doesn't make sense I would be happy to discuss. And if you want me to quickly go over the content policies, I can do that. Just let me know. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 01:51, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- Please do reply here. Thanks! Jytdog (talk) 21:57, 2 May 2016 (UTC)
- I am sorry you chose not to engage with me. I would have provided you some guidance that could have helped you possibly avoid another speedy deletion. Because of the way you have approached Wikipedia, it will be very difficult for anybody to get an article created about your boss now. That's how it goes sometimes. Jytdog (talk) 21:22, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
My Page has been nominated for speedy deletion
[edit]Can you please tell me why now it has been nominated for speedy deletion? I have done everything whatever you guys told me to do... Please tell me how can I prevent this? If there is anything I should remove I will but don't delete the page . http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Anuja_KapurAnuja Kapur 20:41, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- The admin who deleted the article and your draft detected a copyright violation, which is very serious. The article was also promotional and out of line with the way biographies are written in Wikipedia. The speedy deletion was correct. You should have worked with the WP:AFC system instead of trying to directly creating the article yet again. Jytdog (talk) 21:24, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
- The deleted article is here. The deleting admin found a copyright violation from http://www.pocketnewsalert.com/2014/11/anuja-kapur.html. You cannot violate copyright in Wikipedia. This is really important. You have to summarize sources, not copy them. Jytdog (talk) 21:36, 8 May 2016 (UTC)
