Copyedit
[edit]Nice work cleaning up and copyediting the Patriots article. Sometimes, those errors are overlooked; we could really use more good copyediting wikipedians like yourself :) Deckiller 00:40, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Pink Floyd copyedits
[edit]Nice work copyediting the Pink Floyd article. I can't believe "recieving" (sic) went unnoticed for so long. I'm currently trying to clean the article up to the point of submitting it for featured article status, and the kind of copyediting a fresh eye like yourself brings to such a project is invaluable.
If you don't mind a bit of constructive criticism, try to make more use of edit summaries, even if it's just a quick "copyedit" or "typo" comment. I didn't use them for a long time, but now realize how helpful they are, especially for people keeping a close eye on a page.
Once again, great work - looking at your contributions, not just on the Floyd's article. - dharmabum 09:10, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, I agree you're doing a great job, although it might be a good idea to use the aforementioned copyedits and reply to comments so we can get some brainstorming or ideas folowing. Thanks! Deckiller 13:53, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- Once again (Finding Their Feet section), you got my back. :) - dharmabum 08:48, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
- I don't mind the reversions, but "onto" is still not wholly acceptable in British English: see www.askoxford.com. Chris 42 11:22, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Copyedits
[edit]Nice job...out of curiosity, are you an English major? Deckiller 18:52, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
No, I'm just really anal about grammar...had several teachers in high school who had a strong dislike for improper parallelism, split infinitives, etc. InTheFlesh? 18:56, 6 February 2006 (UTC)

Anon image vandal
[edit]Sorry about that, we just had 5 image vandals in a row and I was blatantly slapping on warnings / reverts. I accidentally threw in a block on sight request on the CVU irc channel, I don't think you got blocked but if you do, please let me know or point an admin to your talk page. People look at my user page? I'm astounded! Now I doubt you sat through my sub-page rant about userboxes (here, if I'm right but now you're interested), and I realize that this userbox does not fit into a category which i qualify as useful but it's just so.....good.....that I had to leave it in.
Oh, and sorry for making you lose again.--jfg284 you were saying? 23:16, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
Featured!
[edit]Pink Floyd is now a featured article! Thanks a ton for all your great work on the article that helped get it through, I had no idea what I was getting into, and your keen eye for grammar really had my back throughout the process. - dharmabum 22:54, 17 February 2006 (UTC)
Dammit! I just lost the game. - dharmabum 22:55, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

I don't know if you'd be interested, but the FMP is trying to find participants. I joined them myself yesterday, as they really helped with the Floyd FAC... if you're at all interested, look at the status page to check out which categories still need participants and the gist of the project. - dharmabum 20:26, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

New Sports Wiki/Community
[edit]I noticed you were a Patriots fan. My friends and I started a sports wiki/community that you may be interested in. It uses Wikipedia's software but we made a lot of technological improvements to allow for more news, opinion articles, and better integration of sports statistics.

Hey this is the guy that tried to edit the Red Sox page and put that they require you to retire with the Sox. Actually, Fisk did retire/end his career with the Bosox. They hired him for 1 day as a "special assistant" to the Red Sox and Dan Duquette. I know the Sox site says that this is not required but I'm positive it is or else why would they ever hire Fisk?

The goal is to improve this article by the end of May so that it can be nominated for Featured Article status. Last month's Collaboration of the Month, Magic Johnson was a great success. A total of 560 edits were made to the article during the month of May, and the article was eventually nominated as a Featured Article Candidate. Although the article was not promoted, it was significantly improved through the work of many editors. This month's Collaboration of the Month is Steve Nash. Although this is article is already a Good Article, it still can be improved. In particular, all prose should conform to Featured Article standards, all statements should be verified, and the text should be in a neutral point of view. If there is anything you can do to improve the article, then please help out.
The Collaborator of the Month is given to the editor with the most number of substantial, beneficial edits to the article chosen as the Collaboration of the Month. This month's Collaborator of the Month award goes to Chensiyuan (talk · contribs). Although he had previously helped Magic Johnson to became a Good article, he made literally hundreds of edits during the month of May. For his contributions, he is rewarded with the NBA Collaborator of the Month Award. However, all beneficial edits made by any editor was a help. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
