[edit]You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Killing of Brian Thompson. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. EvergreenFir (talk) 06:06, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- There is a talk page topic on this, but the biased source keeps getting put back despite no consensus being reached on the talk page. XXI (talk) 16:53, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @EvergreenFirwhy are the other editors allowed to add the text back before a consensus is reached on the talk page? Also, I thought we aren't supposed to use sources with editorial bias on Wikipedia? XXI (talk) 16:57, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- Because you have reverted/removed the same content repeatedly. That's the definition of edit warring. EvergreenFir (talk) 18:16, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- because they keep putting it back?? Why is bias being allowed? XXI (talk) 21:42, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- I honestly don't care about the bias or whatever. You may not edit war over it. Clearly other editors disagree with your assessment and you may not just insist on your preference. It's a poll by a firm that is known to have a right-leaning house effect and had been accused of working for the GOP without disclosing it. This is not a case of unambiguous vandalism or hate. This is a collaborative project and you either need to collaborate or find another hobby. EvergreenFir (talk) 00:40, 1 January 2025 (UTC)

- Noting five times the same content was removed by the same user in past week. [1][2][3][4][5] CNC (talk) 18:06, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- As well as these: [6], [7] EvergreenFir (talk) 18:39, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- @CommunityNotesContributor@EvergreenFir The source is biased so I removed it, but it kept getting added back with no discussion. Why is that allowed if a consensus hasn't been reached on the topic? Why do they not have edit war on their talk pages? Also 6 and 7 I didn't remove the content, I added an in-text attribution which Wikipedia says to do for biased sources.
