[edit]I'll register an account sometime soon. As is, I only work on things when I'm here at work with downtime, but eventually I'll get around to it. Thanks for the advice. 216.158.31.195 18:48, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

[edit]First Off. I made those pics...they arent copyrighted...and another thing...i didnt mean to upload over those peoples pics, but id like to have those pics up again, they arent copyrighted...so
...(Demonhunter)
- It's not necessary to have individual pictures of each band member in a band article. Very, very few of our band articles do; and those that do have a lot of text with them so that they don't look so image-heavy. Just have one of the full band that says who's who (such as L-R: Ryan Clark, Don Clark, Jesse Sprinkle, Jon Dunn, Kris McCaddon). As for the images themselves that you posted, they're still available in archived versions. What happened with some of them though was that you gave your image the same name as another image already on the site. And the picture that was there before yours was being used in another article. So when you'd go to that other article you'd see one of the Demon Hunter pictures instead of a picture of the person that the article was written about. (I noticed that when I was looking at User:Rpugatch and thought that he really looked like Ryan Clark.) It looked like the DH pictures that you had either came from the Brazilian fan site, or were cropped out of pictures on the Brazilian fan site. Is that your site? If it is, then you're probably a lot more ok than I thought. Just use the picture that it looks like you took Jesse's picture out of. I think that's a pretty good one to use in the article. If it isn't your site then you'll need to contact whoever owns the site. Either way you still need to show that you're using it with permission, using one of the licensing tags at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags. Just talk to one of the people that are listed in that article (not David Remahl though - he's left Wikipedia, AFAIK) to find out which licensing tag you should use for your images. --Idont Havaname 05:04, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- Ight, i get wha your saying about the band pic. but those pics that i uploaded arent from the brazilian site, and no i dont own the brazilian site. I own The Gauntlet. but those pics are from the CD booklet. i just cropped up alittle.
- Ok, sounds cool. Just make sure you have the band or label's permission to do it now. I'll keep watching the article to see how things are going. :-) --Idont Havaname 21:32, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
Hi! Could you please provide a reference for this edit (http://en.wiki.x.io/w/wiki.phtml?title=Michael_Badnarik&curid=452798&diff=0&oldid=0)? That article has been the subject of significant misinformation and vandalism, so we need to be particularly careful with edits to it. — David Remahl 02:11, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Sorry for missing putting in a section heading. Still, do you have a reference? — David Remahl 03:25, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- In my edit all I did was reverse two poll numbers that were accidentally switched by the original writer of the article. Read the LP.org article again which is immediately after the sentence that I edited. It gives 5% for NM and 3% for Nevada, as I said. (I voted for Badnarik and have been tracking his site and the LP's site since before his nomination.) His campaign site, Badnarik.org, should have something too, but they said (on Blognarik: www.badnarik.org/supporters/blog) that they were considering taking down their site. The LP.org link will stay up; that's why I didn't change the reference. --Idont Havaname 03:30, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Great, thank for clearing that up! — David Remahl 03:35, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Hello Idont Havaname... The Dickinson High School has been heavily revised. If you wouldn't mind, please take a moment to visit the refactored version in the event you wish to reconsider your vote. —[[User:Radman1|RaD Man (talk)]] 03:02, 3 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Christian Rock category
[edit]Hi, in the past few days I've been trying to put together a Christian rock category (doesn't seem to be linking correctly, it's at Category:Christian rock, with the undercase 'r'), and since you seem to have some history of edits in the field, could you check to see if there's anyone significant that's slipped my mind? I haven't included P/W bands in the category because they don't really fit in with the rest, and there are some borderline bands (Chevelle, Creed) that I've intentionally left out, but if you have any thoughts on it, go ahead and modify the category. Kertrats 03:23, 10 May 2005 (UTC) (sorry about that)
- I'll put it on my to-do list. In the meantime, check the bands list on the Tooth & Nail Records article that I put together a few weeks ago. (There aren't a lot of particularly Christian T&N bands, but it should get you started.) I'm hitting the last couple weeks of school right now - finals week is next week - and then going on vacation, so my edits might be down for a few weeks. But I like the idea of that category, and I'll add to it as I have time and as I think of the various bands to put there. (Btw, I just visited that, and I'm finishing up a nice-sized expansion to Day of Fire right now.) --Idont Havaname 03:32, 10 May 2005 (UTC)

Vandal user
[edit]I checked the contributions and he seems to have stopped vandalising since about ten last evening. He hasn't been blocked and I won't block until he eventually vandalises again as it appears to be a pooled IP from oar.net (Ohio broadband provider). Thanks for your notification! Thanks for your support
[edit]Thank you for voting on my RFA. Have some pie! I was pleasantly surprised by the sheer number of supporters (including several people that usually disagree with my opinion). I shall do my best with the proverbial mop. Yours, Radiant_>|< 08:06, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)
Block request
[edit]Hi there! I've referred your request to WP:AN/I (administrator's noticeboard for incidents). If such user troubles occur again, please report them there. I'd say you make a good point, but the sockpuppets would have to be doublechecked, and usually people get a couple of warnings before an indefinite block. Feel free to join the discussion on AN/I with evidence and such. I'm afraid WP:VIP is presently too backlogged to work swiftly (but that will be fixed asap). Yours, Radiant_>|< 21:32, Jun 8, 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, the first accout you mentioned is blocked for today while we figure out what to do with him. However, IP addresses cannot feasibly be perma-blocked (since they change from time to time, or so Im' told). See WP:AN/I. Radiant_>|< 11:30, Jun 9, 2005 (UTC)

ViP Suggestion
[edit]Good idea. I'll be sure to do that if this guy crops back up. Meanwhile, all of them were blocked at least temporarily, so they can probably come off the ViP page now.—chris.lawson (talk) 20:46, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)

page move
[edit]Why didn't you just use the move button? - Stoph 30 June 2005 03:51 (UTC)
- Because I don't have to. :-) Thanks for pointing it out, though. I didn't see it when I was creating the new page, so I did it the old-fashioned way. --Idont Havaname 30 June 2005 04:07 (UTC)
PBurka pointed out that an important omission from this proposal: a band could meet WP:MUSIC criterion #5 (sharing a member with a famous band) and still be speedily deletable by this criterion. I've added a sentence to the proposal to reflect this: it now reads An article about a musician or music group that does not assert having released at least one album, nor having had media coverage, nor having a member that is or was also part of a well-known music group. If the assertion is disputed or controversial, it should be taken to VFD instead. Please consider if you support this new wording, and change your vote if not. Yours, Radiant_>|< July 5, 2005 09:54 (UTC)
CSD Proposal 3-B
[edit]You voted or commented on Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion/Proposal/3-B or Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion/Proposal/3-A or both. I have proposed a revised version, at Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion/Proposal/3-C. This version is intended to address objections made by many of those oppsoed to 3-A or 3-B. The revised propsal refers explicitly and directly to the criteria at WP:MUSIC. If you have not already done so, please examine the revised proposal and vote on it also. Thank you. Altsounds
[edit]Good job. Thanks for doing all that cleanup (I had rolled back a bunch of their edits, but didn't notice that their contributions spanned multiple pages) and for replying on their talk page. I got a few e-mails regarding the block from the person I blocked, who, interestingly enough, has an altsounds.com e-mail address, so any doubts that I might have had that they were linkspamming are now gone. Thanks, JYolkowski // talk 02:23, 13 July 2005 (UTC)
I restored the redirect on Hater because its VfD debate resulted in a delete (3 keep to 5 delete). If you want the article to be restored, please list it on votes for undeletion. Also, please do not blank your talk page; that is against Wikipedia policy. Archive it if you think that it's getting too long. --Idont Havaname 04:12, 14 July 2005 (UTC) (End part of that struck by me when I realized I was in error on that one. --Idont Havaname 03:30, 15 July 2005 (UTC))
- Where is this user talk page policy? --AaronSw 15:47, 14 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit]I don't really have a strong opinion on the article. I had found something that suggested that the US Census service was applying rounding for privacy reasons, and it was my understanding of what I'd read that the places the census listed as having only 1 person, may have more or less than that number. (Similar to the Canadian policy described at List of places with fewer than ten people, although it was slightly different.) I'd say an article's possible. Probably borderline in terms of notability, but given the number of mentions you cite, she's probably worth an article. I don't think her opinion of the attention has an influence on way or the other on the question. - Cafemusique 20:42, 16 July 2005 (UTC)

Nationality Alphabetization
[edit]Thanks for the comment, you're absolutely right about the alphabetization. I've gotten most of them, but there may be a few stragglers. I'm only halfway through the American League, and there's already 138 players from the U.S! This may end up mutating into several articles or an article on Internationalism within Major League Baseball, the recent Home Run Derby at the All Star Game is a prime example of how integral the international flavor of baseball has become to the Majors.
