Hello, thank you for your time reviewing it, and for your comments. Indeed - I am puzzled as to what sounds like advertising. I went through pain to avoid it, compared with several other similar articles to make sure it is in line with other such posts. i tried to include only facts, and add links validating them. Can you please suggest what should be changed? I am 65 y o professional who wrote many various articles, and this one eludes me. your help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

I've left a comment on your Articles for Creation submission, which can be viewed at Draft:St. Nicholas University: School of Veterinary Medicine. Thanks! Theroadislong (talk) 15:54, 17 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank you for adding comment. while what you point to - is a cold fact, as it is a priority to keep classes small - i see it can be seen as advert type writing. i will review and try to eliminate such phrases. much appreciated!

Thank you for your patience with this. I drastically shortened it trying to remove all phrases sounding like a promo. I do hope i succeeded this time. i also restructured it, adding Recognition/Accreditation section in a similar way to other posts I saw on Wiki. Hopefully this is closer to what it should be. Thanks again!
Derek Holoboss (talk) 16:16, 19 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In the process of removing the promotional sounding copy, you also removed the only independent secondary sources on the article, actually now making it seem less notable. When I write an article about a school, I start my paraphrasing from only independent secondary sources that meet WP:RS. If I cannot make a decent article from only that, I give up. Nowhere near every school qualifies for an article. 174.212.227.192 (talk) 07:41, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for letting me know. Oh my. I hope it alt least shows my determination to correct things.
well, it seems that each helping person has a different approach. another person (Jeskie Curiano) said all that info was irrelevant and should definitely go.
http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Articles_for_creation/Help_desk#c-J%C3%A9sk%C3%A9_Couriano-2022-04-18T05%3A03%3A00.000Z-Holoboss-2022-04-17T15%3A50%3A00.000Z
So - i did it. Deleted most of it. Simplified it, left only a few lines of what sounded to me like bare facts. now i am missing what was most important. Can you please say what is it that was important and removed, so I can revert?
It really is a bit confusing when i am told different things, also seeing on other posts that stuff I am told is totally irrelevant (like accreditations) is used in other articles in prominent separate sections.
Such a short post, but I start feeling like I get more and more confused with each round of changes. Specially as I really tried to compare with other very similar articles - on very similar universities, and make my article fit in their character - to make sure info i include is relevant and to the point.
Thanks for your time. if you feel like helping in any way, would be much appreciated. Holoboss (talk) 14:09, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry but not surprised you're having difficulty. Wikipedia is very counterintuitive. Two suggestions. One, do something easier than writing a new article for your first task. Add something to existing articles that interest you; do some copyediting; update some statistics that change annually. While doing those things, look at the attached talk pages for each article you visit, and look through its edit history to get an idea what the discussions are about. Two, ask questions with the understanding that there won't be one correct answer forthcoming. Third, read and try to understand our most important policies. The foundation principles are The Five Pillars; the concept of what qualifies to have an article is found in our Notability policies and related guidelines and our very important policies to protect both the Foundation and individual editors from libel charges are found in our Biographies of living people policy. Third, there isn't a "boss" per se. Administration here is bottom up, not top down. With the exception of the 5 pillars and policies based in legal requirements (WP:COPYRIGHT, WP:BLP and WP:CHILD), rules on Wikipedia are negotiable. A great place to seek help is The Teahouse. It's set up specifically to aid newcomers in adapting to the rather strange environment here. Notability is a different concept than most newcomers expect. You'd expect that whether or not a particular subject gets an article should be determined by its importance. Well, importance is a rather elusive thing to define exactly. So, we base the decision on what gets an article on how much has been written about a subject by sources that meet our reliability standards and are also detailed and academically independent of the subject. For schools specifically, you've got to be able to show that the subject meets WP:NSCHOOL. As the institution you're writing about appears to be a for-profit institution, it would need to meet the more restrictive WP:NORG standard rather than WP:GNG, which is all a public or nonprofit school would need to meet. 174.212.227.192 (talk) 21:14, 20 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
thank you very much. i will do as you say, and after spending time on these other tasks will return to my article. will see if i improve or remain hopeless ha ha...
All the best!

Thank you for your comment. At least I am heading in the right direction, ha ha. So not all is lost.
As for links i added VIN (Veterinary International News) is perhaps one of most respected and read source of veterinary-related information internationally. So, this is not just a shabby note, despite the site not looking super shiny. So i thought this is a major change. I will dig deeper for some more links, although that one certainly would be the most important of anything to be found. Our government never updates/adds any information about external institutions. they rarely update their own critical info!
So i will leave them there, to at least show who they are, I guess...
To be honest I compared closely my text to other universities in the Caribbean, and tried to be closely matching info type and style they display - being long approved on WP. Well, I will try to dig some more, as said.
Thanks again, all the best!
Derek Holoboss (talk) 23:30, 18 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Well, hello again. as of today, 26 June - I did changes as suggested by Asilvering. I added several international news links about the University. I almost feel it may be too many, but I did not want to fall short as last time.
I also explained above that being in Veterinary International News is always important thing. They deal only with internationally important veterinary issues and news. It is one of most sought news/info source for veterinary community. I also explained that I can't add links to Dominica Government pages listing university, because they never had such pages. They only use Government site as general source of information about their offices. Still, I decided to keep these links as it at least shows these ministries exist. If I should remove them - please let me know - although these links were present from my very first attempt, and just now I hear they are "unhelpful". Trying to "navigate" through all comments and recommendations I receive is a bit like sailing on unpredictable weather, with wind hitting you from all directions, ha ha. I do hope that I am closer to the shore now. Thank you! Holoboss (talk) 19:46, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission has been rejected and cannot be resubmitted. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Xkalponik was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Rejection was imminent. Declined 6 times previously. Checking the current refs, it still doesn't satisfy WP:GNG. The refs used are either primary (interviews) or very promotional language (possibly PR/paid articles). Outside of the used refs, I could not find any good sources via cursory Google searches.
X (talk) 11:13, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello and thank you for another rejection.
Some months ago i received invitation from Wikipedia to include this article in Wikipedia School Project and to enter it in Caribbean Schools.
So, i did that, and in my latest submission I included the link to that section (which If I am correct - should automatically show this article there).
I also did some reading and it was clearly explained that articles in that School Project go under different rules and do not go under scrutiny of these rejections - they need to be correct factually.
So, I find it puzzling that somebody decided it is a good fit for that project, I get invited to submit it to that project, I do it to my best knowledge (maybe i did it wrongly, please let me know), and then nothing of what was described actually applies to my article. It is not there, and I get kicked out.
Please, as you seem to be very fluent in Wiki things - let me know why it is so, and how to enter it to that "Caribbean Schools by Country" Schools Project. I was certain that copied/pasted link into my article would do just that.
http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Category:Schools_in_the_Caribbean_by_country
Thank you in advance for your kind help.
Regards
