I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. {{helpme}} Dear FisherQueen,
That was so very nice of you to welcome me. I'm not sure I can afford to eat the cookies, but I do appreciate the welcome.
I think this is the wrong way to reply to you, but I don't really know how to do it properly. I hope this works and doesn't upset anyone.
Lol, Heather
- This is fine- like most people, if I post on your talk page, I automatically add your talk page to my watchlist, so I'll see the update if you reply. You can also say hi on someone else's talk page if you want to make sure they don't miss it. I noticed the article you're working on in your sandbox about the corset controversy, and was fascinated by it- I think it'll make a great addition to the encyclopedia when you bring it up into articlespace! Also, electronic cookies have no fat and no sugar. :) -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 21:21, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
{{helpme}} Dear FisherQueen (any relation to "The Fisher King??),
I wish the ones in Whole Foods were like that. Sigh ...
I hope the corset controversy article is written the right way. I mean this is my first contribution and I would like to get it right. So if there are things I'm doing wrong, could you tell me, please?
Lol, Heather
- Hi Heather. It can be hard to find other people to review your work; Wikipedia is a very large site and sometimes it is hard for particular articles to get noticed. Try contacting someone at the History Wikiprojects. Wikiprojects are formed by people with similar interests, so you may find one or two editors there that will be more than happy to look over your work. If you have any further issues, let me or FisherQueen know. Best of luck, and happy editing! :) ∗ \ / (⁂) 01:25, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Women's fashions 1980
[edit]Hi Heather! I stumbled across the corset controversy article that's clearly mostly your work. Great job, very interesting. I love that you included so much original material verbatim, it's fascinating reading.
Since fashion is your field, maybe you could help me. I am having difficulty finding an online source of pictures of women's clothes in 1980. Something like a catalogue would be good, but I can't seem to find one, but any collection of pictures would do. Any suggestions? Btw, thank goodness corsets and 18-inch waists went out of fashion! Aaargh!

Hi Heather -- Thanks for the great article about the centuries' long controversy around corsets. You put a lot of effort into assembling a great deal of relevant information. Unfortunately, it relies on far too many quotes that form the majority of the article. If you could take some time to integrate the quotes as prose into the body of the article, and then cite the quotes, it would vastly improve the article. If you'd like additional input, you can ask for a peer edit, but you can be sure one of the biggest things suggested will be to improve the how the quotes are used in the article. — btphelps (talk) (contribs) 02:21, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Hi Btphelps -- I'm sorry to be so slow in reply. I haven't visited this page for many months. I'll try to do as you suggest by working on the quotes. It may take a while, so please be patient with me. Thank you so much for your help.

Requesting Guidance
[edit]Hello. I'm new to the wiki community and would like to start working on editing the Property Insurance page with the help and collaboration of more experienced contributors from Project Finance Participants. There is also a recommendation the Chartis article be merged with AIG's page. I think the Property Insurance page could be strengthened with parts of AIG's page since it shows how current events and emerging trends effect it's regulation by the government. Hurricane Sandy and updated payouts of the WTC are not on the Property Insurance page either - which to me seem to be relevant. Do you think adding more information would be beneficial to the Property Insurance page? If so would you be interested in collaborating what facts should be included? Any response would be kindly appreciated. Thank you.Lgkkitkat (talk) 16:43, 16 May 2014 (UTC)
