Please do not add advertising or inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.--Hu12 (talk) 11:58, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am adding http://www.trendsfind.com as a relevant link based on the "What can normally be linked policy" WP:ELYES:

"Sites that contain neutral and accurate material that is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject and cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to copyright issues, amount of detail (such as professional athlete statistics, movie or television credits, interview transcripts, or online textbooks), or other reasons." Goodbacteria (talk) 12:54, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • "Search find and monitor interesting stock market trends."
Unfortunatly that site neither is encyclopedic, verifies article content nor is a unique resource. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, so many useful things that do not belong in an encyclopedia are excluded.--Hu12 (talk) 13:07, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  • It is encyclopedic in the sense that it searches for trends in systematic (not discretionary) manner (strongest trends are shown based on search criteria) hence it is also neutral. It is unique - there is no other source like this. It is also relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject of stock market trend and trend following strategy because it shows real trends. Unlike Wikipedia, DMOZ is a web directory specifically designed to categorize and list all Internet sites; if you've not already gotten your sites listed there, I encourage you to do so -- it's a more appropriate venue for your links than our wikis. Their web address: http://www.dmoz.org/.--Hu12 (talk) 15:24, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. In this case adding trendsfind.com as an external link for "Market trend" and "Trend following" can be viewed as compliant with Wikipedia policies. For these articles it serves as an interactive illustration that cannot be added directly to the articles due to amount of details. Goodbacteria (talk) 18:06, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Hu12 (talk) 18:40, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hu12, why this link is inappropriate? Can you respond to the arguments?
  • It (trendsfind.com) is encyclopedic in the sense that it searches for trends in systematic (not discretionary) manner (strongest trends are shown based on search criteria) hence it is also neutral.
  • It is unique - there is no other source like this.
  • It is relevant to an encyclopedic understanding of the subject of stock market trend and trend following strategy because it shows real trends.
  • For these articles (market trends, trend following) it serves as an interactive illustration that cannot be added directly to the articles due to amount of details.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Goodbacteria (talkcontribs) 16:26, 30 November 2012‎
I've explained above, however I'll clarify.
  • trendsfind.com is not encyclopedic, "...it searches for trends". In your words, " ..it searches"(#9)
  • Its not unique, it's irrelevant. It cannot verify article content. "...it searches for trends"
  • Its not relevant, its "indirectly related"(#13). Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not an investment site(#4)
  • trendsfind.com is a Link to be avoided for the articles (market trends, trend following) because it fails Wikipedia's External links policy #1,#4,#8,#9,#11, #13
It is quite evident that your account is only contributing to Wikipedia in order to promote trendsfind.com. Please also see WP:ADV and WP:NOPR--Hu12 (talk) 01:21, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Continued promotion

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. --Hu12 (talk) 18:23, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
