Top of the world
[edit]Hmm. It seems to me that your top of the world designation for so many mountains might be WP:OR. Can you add citations for this designation for each mountain? Maybe take a break from editing so many mountains and see what others think before making so many edits? Cxbrx (talk) 05:06, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You're completely correct in emphasizing the importance of including citations for each mountain, particularly considering that this is a relatively recent concept. I will make sure to add them.
- Additionally, I agree that we should take a break for a bit and see how well-received the concept is before adding more. Currently, it's seen interest among members of the prominence community on groups.io - the individuals who initially developed the concept of topographic prominence. It's also seen public interest through Reddit posts discussing the concept, where many people have expressed interest in knowing more about the locations of such mountains in a particular region. However, I fully acknowledge that Wikipedia presents a unique environment and audience and I will be respectful of this. Gigitoe (talk) 06:14, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your reasoned response and taking a break from the edits. I'm not so sure that Reddit would be considered a WP:RS. Cxbrx (talk) 13:58, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
