[edit]Hi. When you recently edited Fraternities and sororities in North America, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Phi Kappa and Hellenism (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of PFGBest
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on PFGBest requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Livit⇑Eh?/What? 13:23, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

National Debt Clock
[edit]Imho your recent move of the article to United States National Debt Clock was not a good idea. Article titles are not supposed to be descriptive or overly detailed. I can see nothing in the naming criteria that would support your move. There is absolutely no need for "United States" in the title, since the clock is always and only ever called "National Debt Clock", and that is its actual name and it is fully sufficient to disambiguate the topic. Just to explain: The reason I care is that I'm the one brought the article to GA (just so that you don't think I'm just some random IP). Would you kindly revert you move? --85.197.31.22 (talk) 13:23, 12 November 2013 (UTC)
- Since you appear to be not very active, I've decided to file a move request at the article talk page. You're very welcome to weigh in. --85.197.13.202 (talk) 01:41, 14 November 2013 (UTC)
- I've replied to you at the article talk page. Unfortunately, your points are entirely without any merit. I suggest you read up on our disambiguation guidelines. Even if there were another article about another debt clock, which there isn't (much less one that is also called "National Debt Clock"), this article would most certainly be the primary topic and thus not have a disambiguator in its title even then. --85.197.25.92 (talk) 22:38, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Liberbank
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Liberbank requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Christian75 (talk) 11:47, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Nick Xenophon Team
[edit]Hello Gfcvoice,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nick Xenophon Team for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kavdiamanju (talk) 03:38, 6 April 2015 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Mackerras pendulum for the next Australian federal election, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Post-election pendulum for the Australian federal election, 2013. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 14:25, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

Vandalism
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Barry O'Sullivan, you may be blocked from editing. The Drover's Wife (talk) 11:29, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Hello, you accused me of "disruptive editing" and "vandalising" Wikipedia. Could you please explain why you believe this to be the case? Gfcvoice (talk) 11:32, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
You vandalised Barry O'Sullivan for a joke. If you do it again, don't be surprised if you wind up with a block. It is not funny and it is not up for debate. The Drover's Wife (talk) 11:38, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Your comments are quite unfortunate. Could I please ask you to review the content of Wikipedia behavioral guidelines, and the manner in which you have addressed me. Specifically, could you please assume good faith and act in a civil manner. Could you please also tone down your language and avoid using ad hominem attacks.
Separate to your conduct, your assertions that I
- "vandalised Barry O'Sullivan"
- (edited) "Barry O'Sullivan for a joke"
are simply untrue. I merely made an edit that you disagreed with. Rather than incorrectly labelling my edits as "vandalism", could you please provide an explanation as to the nature of your disagreement with my edit? Gfcvoice (talk) 11:55, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Barry O'Sullivan's assertions were intended as a joke at the expense of transgender people. This is clear from even a brief reading of the available sources. While it is *possible* that you made a mistake here, that would be a very silly mistake, so I suggest you drop the grandstanding about assuming good faith. Yaris678 (talk) 12:21, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- I disagree with your inference made about the intention of O'Sullivan's assertions. The inferences that you are making are not "clear" as you suggest. I stand by my earlier comment about the assumption of good faith, it's unfortunate you've labelled this as "grandstanding". Gfcvoice (talk) 12:28, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Yahoo! into Yahoo! Inc. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 12:16, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
