scope of school articles

[edit]

Hi FroggyPeterson. I have noticed that you have voiced your disappointment in the way your questions have been processed by experienced editors. The scope of school articles is clearly described at WP:WPSCH and in its various sub pages. The relevance of linking to external pages has been explained to you but perhaps you would find more 'scope' at Wikipedia:External links and Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lists. Rather than making personal criticisms, please consider waiting for a detailed discussion to develop on the appropriate talk page instead - in this case at WT:WPSCH. Perhaps you would also like to read WP:Talk page guidelines. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 08:49, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Solway Primary School, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 02:09, 22 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I noticed that you have made an edit to the article submission. Please note that while this will delay deleteion under WP:G13, this will not prevent deletion under any other applicable criterion. School articles of this type however, are generally redirected to a list of schools or to the article about the schol's locality. This has been explained to you many times. Your comments

[edit]

You may not agree with the policies and guidelines that are followed according to consensus on Wikipedia, but please remember that everyone, whether regular editors or occasional contributors like you, is working towards creating an encyclopedia whose content nevertheless needs certain controls. You are most welcome to make positive contributions, for which the entire editing community of millions of users will be grateful as well as the millions who use Wikipedia as a source of reference. However, constantly making negative comments does not help foster the spirit of voluntary collaborative work. Thank you for your comprehension. Hello FroggyPeterson. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Solway Primary School".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Solway Primary School}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 22:06, 27 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:FroggyPeterson/Oakleigh Amateur Football Club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
