Your addition to File:BMW 4 Series coupe.jpg has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text, or images borrowed from other websites, or printed material without a verifiable license; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Fut.Perf. 09:04, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Star Trek

[edit]

I would tend to agree. However, the template as current does not fit the description of "everything". Each of the sub templates currently carries the majority of the articles. Not necessarily as they should, but the characters certainly make this template unwieldy.

On a side note, you are not allowed to use any templates in or as your signature. Please fix that. --Izno (talk) 03:56, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please check out Wikipedia:Verifiability: "any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source" and Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. The previous version of a BMW 9 Series article said it was going to be a mini-MPV to be launched in Sept 2013. That was deleted as a hoax; do you have any reliable source to show that this is not another? JohnCD (talk) 16:08, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have found and added one (and that will show you how to do it). Unfortunately it is behind a paywall, and others I found were all "BMW will unveil... " type speculation. There should be more soon, in which case it would be good to replace the paywall one. JohnCD (talk) 16:25, 21 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Jackie-chan-honorary-oscar.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jackie-chan-honorary-oscar.jpg, which you've attributed to No source specified. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - FlightTime (open channel) 01:39, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Can I replace photo with tv screenshot under Non-free media information and use rationale license? FreeRogue  ·  ·  · Talk ·  ·  · 08:27, 12 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:AudiGuy-1204/Trashcan/BMW Gran Turismo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

user request

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Alice in Borderland

[edit]

Hi @FreeRogue, you are currently engaged in an edit war with myself and another editor on the Alice in Borderland (TV series) page. We both disagree with your reasoning regarding the "last aired" infobox parameter, yet you insist on imposing your version. Please stop this and engage in a dialogue on the talk page instead. Starfleet Academy articles

[edit]

For future reference, we do not move articles by copying-and-pasting contents (see WP:MOVE for more). You should have started a move request discussion before attempting to change around the disambiguation for these articles. I have started a discussion at Talk:Star Trek: Starfleet Academy (TV series)#Possible move to confirm what should be done here. - adamstom97 (talk) 11:26, 29 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
