TONE/MOS

[edit]

Hi. And welcome. If you haven't reviewed the Wikipedia guidelines on WP:TONE, WP:NEUTRALITY, and WP:ATTRIBUTINGPOV, please do. Please also consider reviewing the WP:GAELICNEUTRAL guideline from the WikiProject Gaelic games project/community. In short, terms like "golden era", "glory years", "barren years", "special day together", "finest achievement" or "unlikely victory" are not in keeping with related guidelines. While such turns of phrase may appear in some sources, and may reflect the tone-of-voice of match day reports or parish histories or club websites, they do not reflect Wikipedia's tone-of-voice. Which is factual and neutral. If such terms are used, then the opinions/editorial/feelings expressed need to be supported, "quoted" and clearly attributed. (Also, see WP:OLINK for why every instance of Shannon Rangers GAA shouldn't be linked/relinked in a single article). Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 21:55, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the advice, still learning. Also, thanks for doing all the editing on my submissions, much appreciated. Fox&Pheasant (talk) 22:02, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK. Also (and just FYI I guess), except as covered in WP:VALIDALT, if you have previously edited Wikipedia from another account, it may be appropriate to provide notice of any previous/existing profiles. Thanks. Guliolopez (talk) 22:21, 28 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
