Unblock Request
[edit]Fenlander88 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I am attempting to write an article concerning Fen Skater, George "Fish" Smart, as part of an educational project.mI have quoted numerous sources that I have found. My other edits thus far have been for "Turkey Smart", wherein, I added a summary for simplicity and I have corrected grammar for the page regarding "Flavius Richomeres". I am spending great time and effort into the writing of Fen Skater's pages as I wish to pursue a career in History and this is a stepping stone to that. The expiration date for the block is 2033. Please can you help me with the Wikipedia unblock, so that I can continue with my research. Thank you ever so much for any help that you could provide. If you require anything more of mr, feel free to please get in touch. Thank you ever so much.Fenlander88 (talk) 11:21, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
This account is not directly blocked. If you are unable to edit, please exactly follow the instructions which appear when you attempt to do so. Yamla (talk) 11:50, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Range Block
[edit]I think it's a range block. "An error occurred in editing the talk page (blocked: Your username or IP address has been blocked. The reason given is: :There are multiple blocks against your account and/or IP address. *Start of block: 12:31, 3 July 2023 *Expiration of longest block: 20:34, 4 September 2025 * Relevant block IDs: #16007862, #13501424 (your IP address may also appear in a blocklist) Your current IP address is 82.132.218.179. Please include all above details in any queries you make.)."
I'm quite confused and any help will be appreciated.

[edit]Hello, I'm HickoryOughtShirt?4. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 14:46, 20 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hello there,
- I was sidetracked at that moment. Appropriate Citations will be added within the next week. I’m unavailable over the Weekend, but after that I will go through and find the appropriate sources. Look forward to that. As you can tell, I’m relatively inexperienced, so please give it a check over if you have time.
- Yours faithfully,

Recent edit reversion
[edit]In this edit here, I reverted some information that appears to be a violation of our copyright policy.
I provided a brief summary of the problem in the edit summary, which should be visible just below my name. You can also click on the "view history" tab in the article to see the recent history of the article. This should be an edit with my name, and a parenthetical comment explaining why your edit was reverted. If that information is not sufficient to explain the situation, please ask.
I do occasionally make mistakes. We get hundreds of reports of potential copyright violations every week, and sometimes there are false positives, for a variety of reasons. (Perhaps the material was moved from another Wikipedia article, or the material was properly licensed but the license information was not obvious, or the material is in the public domain but I didn't realize it was public domain, and there can be other situations generating a report to our Copy Patrol tool that turn out not to be actual copyright violations.) If you think my edit was mistaken, please politely let me know and I will investigate. ~~~~ S Philbrick(Talk) 11:50, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
Copyright and Wikipedia
[edit]Hello Fenlander88! (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you.
