Fixed image sizes

I have had to correct the metadata on images you have been adding because you gave a fixed size (300 pixels). Since you can't know whether the reader has a tiny smartphone, a mid-sized laptop or a giant sports bar screen, this practice is generally deprecated. If a bigger size than a normal thumbnail, you can use upright 200% or whatever is appropriate (125% is usually good). --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 10:18, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

There is an exception of course. (Isn't there always?) Most infoboxes are 300px wide so if you want an image to line up with the infobox, you have specify an exact size. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 15:17, 21 July 2021 (UTC)

Captions

Just jamming the image name into the caption field as you did here is not helpful. That image name is meaningless in English - it's German. Please slow down and stop making work for other editors! ♠PMC♠ (talk) 20:55, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

I have now had to revert three of your image additions ([1], [2], and [3]) because they introduced images of the wrong species. I am begging you to go back and review your own edits and ensure that each one has an actual correct image that applies specifically to the article, and an appropriate and informative caption. If you don't, and you continue to make these high-speed inaccurate edits, I will block you from mainspace to prevent disruption to the encyclopedia. ♠PMC♠ (talk) 21:29, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi Emmanuel, I just wanted to say that the additions you've made today are great. The captions are suitable and the images are all relevant to the subject. I appreciate you adapting to our way of doing things. However, it would still be best if you could go back through your thousands of other edits to ensure they are all up to this same standard.
