Copy editing
[edit]Hi Doniasis, and thanks for your copy editing of the culture shock article! Your help is really appreciated. I had a quick look through your contributions, and it looks like you're mostly interested in copy editing rather than writing in a specific topic area (let me know if I have got this wrong). If you are so inclined, might I suggest that you take a look at our Guild of Copy Editors? Yes, that's right, Wikipedia does actually have a whole community based around copy editing. Actually, copy editors are very much in demand on Wikipedia, and you'll probably find all sorts of editors will ask you to look over their nominations for good articles and featured articles if your name gets around - all optional of course. We also have a project for wikifying articles and for disambiguating links and article titles if that happens to float your boat. If you have any questions about editing Wikipedia or about any of the projects, then please feel free to ask - I'll be happy to answer. You can reply here if you want, as I'll be watching the page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
