Hi @Donard Radiance, what exactly are you trying to do here? I undid your edit because it created two of the exact same article. Are you saying there are two different people? Alyo (chat·edits) 14:34, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Aylo. Sorry for confusion and extra work.
- The page "Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater" was a redirect to "Francis Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater". This was inappropriate and confusing, since the first of these names is the correct form.
- I tried to correct this by copying the content from "Francis Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater" and overwriting the redirect at "Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater", but then found that I could not delete the former.
- Thankfully, I then discovered that I could move the page "Francis Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater" to "Francis Henry Egerton, 8th Earl of Bridgewater" and that it would overwrite the redirect, which it seems to have done.
- Does that make sense? Have I done what I think I did? Certainly, there are not two people, only one. Donard Radiance (talk) 15:21, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
