Hello!
Could you check my request on the talk page for Edison Chen? I noticed that you've done a few edits to it, as well as contributing to a number of articles about Cantonese people - so I'd assume you probably know more about Chen than I do. Thanks! Th 2005 (talk) 23:08, 28 February 2008 (UTC)
Hello!
I wish to add an article on categorized searching of websites, I have designed a website gajeebo.com which is based on collabrative approach and is to assist people search for websites in different categories. The article which I wrote didnt complie G11 of Wikipedia guidelines. I am really not sure how to write an article on gajeebo.com so that it is writen in fundamental language. Please suggest me something so that I can enlighten Internet Surfers about uniqueness and how they will be benefitted from Gajeebo. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Harshagarwal5 (talk • contribs) 07:25, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

The image you provided the link to showed that you do not hold the copyright to the image. By taking a photograph of copyrighted material, you are just creating a derivative of the copyrighted material. The copyright still belongs to the original creator. -Nv8200p talk 14:43, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Joey Yung. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. PeterSymonds (talk) 12:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- That's alright, I thought you would know. But I declined the protection because pages aren't protected when there's a war between two editors. Fair is fair; I issued a warning to Halahala so it would be unfair not to warn you. I hope the dispute is sorted out; if you need me to informally mediate just drop me a line. Best, PeterSymonds (talk) 12:32, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
Fairuse error?
In the file soundfile you uploaded, the fairuse rationale is not currently given to Hins. Please check other sound files too. Interestingly I would have picked that same track lol. Benjwong (talk) 19:10, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
When CSD G10 (article created solely to disparage subject) is used, it is appropriate and expected to delete the content. Apparently, the original creator of that article changed the content to something less disparaging before I saved my version, which consisted only of the tag and not of the removed, highly disparaging content. If you still think it is inappropriate to remove defamatory content which could expose Wikipedia to liability, you will have to escalate this matter. 206.116.63.240 (talk) 04:47, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
Template
Yeah, I just noticed the two ~~ missing at the end. I'm trying to fix it so that it appears as ~ on the template itself, but as part of the signature when using it. Haha. As for my userpage, I came across Wikipedia:User Page Design Center. Lots of stuff there to help design your page. If you have any questions with that, just ask me! =) -- Skyezx(talk) 07:35, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- I think I figured out what's wrong. The template needs to be substituted for it to work. So instead of just {{WPCLE invite}}, it needs to be {{subst:WPCLE invite}}. I changed the instructions on the WP's participants page to reflect this. Lol... so silly of me to forget this. -- Skyezx(talk) 07:54, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Userpage
I edited your /menu page. Is that what you wanted? I just added another row to the table to move the quote to the top. It's looking good! -- Skyezx(talk) 21:02, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, you're right that this image was added on top of an existing image on a different subject - I don't know if it's still possible to recover the original. Perhaps the changes could be reverted, but then the current image would be lost. I can't really help on this one, as I'm not an expert on Wikipedia image policy. Thanks for fixing the fair use rationale, though! Terraxos (talk) 15:27, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Slew
I don't know if you have been following the minor contretemps at Eigenvector slew after you (quite understandably) put a speedy tag on it. Anyway, you were mentioned (indirectly) in dispatches at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Mathematics#Eigenvector slew and the experts are still discussing its notability or otherwise. Cheers. Cirlce gets the square
That's a reference to the rules on Hollywood Squares, basically a game show version of tic-tac-toe with 9 celebs sitting in a ginormous tic-tac-toe board. If player "x" gets the question wrong, then the square goes to player "o", who is referred to as the circle. Hence, "circle gets the square". Dispute
He's certainly not the most polite person in the world... but heh, I personally would just let it go. I don't like drama. lol. Let's just keep our cool and remain civil. If the discussion escalates then we should do something about it. But I'm sleepy, and that's just my opinion. =p – Skyezx // msg 09:33, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the note
Cool......
It does put everything in context. What probably happened was that he started his crusade to rid the world of everything Chinese and it spilled over into the Taiwanese-American and Chinese-American articles. I've found it basically impossible to reason or compromise with him, and he seems extremely misinformed about Taiwanese politics, but now that I see that he has a holy crusade against everything Chinese, it makes me a bit more relaxed, since I see it's not just him versus me. There is one of him, and 1.4 billion of us, and eventually he is going to exhaust himself single-handedly fighting all of us.
So chill....
Evil Fu Manchu laugh Roadrunner (talk) 01:09, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Clarification for the above comment because I'm sure CG will pick on the verse "1.4billion of us". The word "chinese" used in the context is not restricted to "people living in china". "Chinese" is a GENERALISATION of all the ethnic races living within the traditional borders of China. This includes the Han, Wu, Manchu, etc etc. So a person living in Hong Kong is a Hong Kongese and a Chinese and a Han and an Asian at the same time. It's like saying an ethnic aboriginal Australian is called an Aboriginal, Australian, and Oceanian at the same time. Dengero (talk) 01:43, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Linda Chung
Hiya. Just wondering if you're sure that Linda's album is really called "Linda Chung Debut Album"? From what I've heard, it's "Dinner For One, World For Two <一人晚餐, 二人世界>".[1] – Skyezx // msg 02:45, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Page deletion
Hi,
OK. I'm new to Wikipedia.
Really hope I'm posting this in the right way to your talk page.
I've got great enthusiasm for Icelandic music and writing about it and related issues.
I had my post on Gogoyoko deleted. I think I understand why, and wish to be given another chance for it.
All help with that would be greatly appreciated.
best,
Randver1 (talk) 10:46, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
How to proceed?
Hi Dengero,
Thanks! I won't give up! And I do appreciate you taking time to check my case with gogoyko and post answer on my 'talk page'.
There's actually an Icelandic Wikipedia, impressive project but not very big. As you can guess with Iceland having a population of 315.000, and almost everybody being able to talk and understand English, articles on Icelandic issues are usually being posted on the international (English) Wikipedia, specially those with international relevance. Sometimes they are alos posted on the Icelandic one - but only in very special local cases on the Icelandic page solely.
Gogoyoko is actually not a band, but a music website. Not too far from iTunes or possibly http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Sellaband
I understand why my previous post on Gogoyoko was sounding too much like an advertisement. It was taken too much as a word by word from newspaper article - but the fact is I was experimenting with the posting, so without finishing it, I posted the article and planned to go back to work on it further (only to find it closed).
I really want to be given a second chance to write this article.
I've read the argument for the deletion of pages, and what to avoid when posting articles. I've begun to write on other articles in the system.
I really would like to be given a second chance to write on Gogoyoko. I will of course make sure to do a better job.
How to proceed?

Gogoyoko story
Hi Dengero,
Thanks for all your help.
Now, I've followed your instroctions and created a subpage for the Gogoyoko article. Can you please have a look, let me know if anything might be off - and if possible post it (or let me know who to contact to do make it available).
best,
(Randver1 (talk) 13:45, 19 November 2008 (UTC))
Hi Randver, I had a brief scan of your article, and it looks good, but you are still not meeting the WP:NN criteria. Do you have other sources than the official website about the company that can be used? (ie, newspaper, magazines etc etc) Dengero (talk) 13:56, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi again Dengero,
Thanks for taking time to check the article out.
I've used articles on other similar sites as reference for writing this piece, where reference to the company statements/info on their own websites is the common thing. I've also browsed through other company sites (CCP Games is one example) and it seems the company website and newsletters are in many cases the main source for information.
Gogoyoko is new site, so not much has been written about it. Except in the Icelandic press. I've Googled it, and you can find some blogs and news on the creature. But the most reliable source seems to be (for me at least) to be its own website, and I write in my article "according to its website", "the company claims..." etc. to make sure the reader knows where the information is coming from.
Now, I don't see difference from the Googyoko sources as for example in [Sellaband] or other online music websites and stores. Or company articles.
But can article be edited (shortened) so its at least in there, with more basic information, for future editing and additions from readers? What bits would need to go?
(Randver1 (talk) 00:45, 20 November 2008 (UTC))
article
Well, the Gogoyoko article seems to be locked. How to unlock to put the article up?
best,
(Randver1 (talk) 16:36, 20 November 2008 (UTC))
Thanks for all your help. Waiting for reply from Secret.
(Randver1 (talk) 01:32, 24 November 2008 (UTC))
Can you please re-check this article;
http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/User:Randver1/Gogoyoko
Should meet all standards by now.
More sources have been linked to the article. Some claims / statements coming from the company itself are, understandably, linked to the company's official website. Otherwise the company website is not used as source for information. Is there anything that might be in need of improvement (or should be removed) to make the article available?
best,

A Response
Heckler and Koch has not released any important information on the GR9. I have not been able to find any information for this article but I am looking. It is true, I am not exactly sure about this gun, but it is, or at least was in service with the NATO special forces and I have not posted ALL of the information I know yet, so please be patient. Please respond soon. Iamthemanman (talk) 21:15, 21 November 2008 (UTC)

I am amazed at your incredible stalking ability. Your continued campaign against me after only a minor one-time content dispute. You deserve to win a medal for that. I am sure you have a very fulfilling life. Please stay off my userspace in the future. Focus on writing articles. Just some friendly advice.--NWA.Rep (talk) 10:47, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

Rollback
I have 2 granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. –Juliancolton Happy Holidays 16:09, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Off The Record Double CD B-sides collection (Results May Vary Unreleased Recordings, Demos and More)
Can you tell me if Off The Record Double CD B-sides collection (Results May Vary Unreleased Recordings, Demos and More) is not nonsense, then what exactly it is. Dengero (talk) 16:33, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
- It's nonsense, sure, but not patent nonsense. Patent nonsense is content that nobody could possibly make any sense of, like random characters or a series of words that doesn't form any sentences. I think PROD is the correct place for this one. Stifle (talk) 17:39, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
