What next?
With Cortana receiving almost no concerns in the VG peer review I'm comfident that the article is quite strong with the only concern that can be echoed is that the reception section is to focused on Halo 3. Now wich article should we focus in next? I was thinking that Arbiter is the one that has more potential out there, though Covenant Elite may be easier to find material to expand a "Character design" section, does The Art of Halo feature something we can use on that page? - Caribbean~H.Q. 21:10, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- I added some random material to the Covenant Elite article a few days back, if you add the development material we might have a good chunk of out-of-universe material, I will begin some cleanup on it soon in hopes of giving it a GA push. - Caribbean~H.Q. 21:34, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
- I have looked troughout the web several times and could only find a single sentence of new material for the character design section of the Arbiter, Bungie hasn't released anything useful and no concept art has been found, I know the Art of Halo is nothing more than a picturebook for him but do any of the pictures have anything different about it? maybe changes in armor design or something that can be quoted? BTW is there any reference that directly says he fights MC in First Strike? because there is a anon that keeps adding material by using the rational that it is "hinted" that this event happens. - Caribbean~H.Q. 07:52, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the addition, now we have a decent section, for some reason I always though Bungie had taken the easy path when designing him. Got to keep an eye on the anon creation thing now, see you around. - Caribbean~H.Q. 00:14, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
- Check it out, of all people MTV has provided us with a nice interview with some useful content [1], the insanity! :-) - Caribbean~H.Q. 19:15, 12 November 2007 (UTC)
- I was looking for something to add about the Arbiter's role in Halo 3's development so I typed "Bungie Halo 3 Arbiter Development" on the Yahoo! search engine and after a lot of useless hits this was the search's 19th item, the title seemed interesting so I began reading it and came across this, it was sort of a lucky find. - Caribbean~H.Q. 20:04, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Two things
One, no profanity was used. That was an adequate substitute. Two, I did not claim any 'ownership' or otherwise. The editor I refer to seems to be acting out of accordance. If you cannot see this, I will bring it to the attention of another admin who may see Icsononove's actions for what they are. So I hope you warn him to deter from personal statements and insults. Thank you. Rarelibra 19:41, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- Responded. There are two sides to everything, my friend. Please see the side from which I approach. Thank you. Rarelibra 19:45, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
- I will ensure to provide a summary of perception at a later time - that provides all kinds of 'sides' and angles. In this case, I am being accused of an un-truth that I wish to have removed, pronto. You should understand the severity of this matter - it is one thing to comment, another to make a statement alleging to something that isn't true. Thank you. Rarelibra 19:54, 1 November 2007 (UTC)
GAN of Final Fantasy
We've tried to address your concerns for the GAN of Final Fantasy. The lead has been reworded, and the fair use rationales have been updated for the images. Most are still lacking a source, but I thought that images technically only required licensing tags and fair use rationales. (Guyinblack25 talk 04:29, 2 November 2007 (UTC))
- I believe that the issues you mentioned have been addressed. Let us know if there are other issues. (Guyinblack25 talk 21:40, 7 November 2007 (UTC))
Aliens
Thanks for working with Covenant Elite these last days, my laptop has been giving me some trouble lately and my contributions has been more limited than usual, it should be fixed by Monday and I will try to keep an eye on the Peer Review but thanks for contining the cleanup, I also moved a entire section to my sandbox for rewritting but after reviewing it I think all that section if cleaned of all the original research and fancruft its not going to be bigger than a paragraph, what do you think about it, anything particulary useful? - Caribbean~H.Q. 08:22, 3 November 2007 (UTC)
Collapsible templates
Is there a way to make a template defaultly collapsed on one page, but always expanded by default? I want to make the professional competition template collapsed by default on StarCraft#External_linksStarCraft, but its probably left expanded on any other articles it may relate to. -- 19:58, 3 November 2007 (UTC)

Infobox CVG
What have you done to the CVG infobox! It's bathed in a disgusting puke green! Can you at least restore the definative table lines and change it to grey, because that green is revolting and makes the infobox look absolutely horrible. -- Sabre 13:45, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
3RR notice on Arbiter article
I wanted to alert you to something regarding the Arbiter (Halo) article - the anonymous editor who keeps adding back the First Strike section has violated 3RR even after I posted an alert in the edit summaries that they were about to break it. Since this is not only a 3RR violaion but also a questionable addition that has been reverted by no less than three seperate editors, I wanted to bring it to your attention. Question about vandalism
What do i do if someone is vandalizing a page but no admins are watching it? do I contact someone or do I post on their wall? it is on Great Valley High School and the IP address is 71.185.239.197. Thanks Superbowlbound 05:40, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Sorry for interrupting here on David Fuchs' talk page... But in the above case.. You can be bold and revert it right away...Mugunth (ping me!!!, contribs) 06:13, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
- well i did, but the first 5 edits have all been vandalism. I was wondering what the follow up was and he is the only admin that i know off the top of my head. Its also not the first time. Superbowlbound 07:27, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Regarding Halo: Combat Evolved
This article is going to be featured tomorrow... But I see that in the external links section has the following links..
- {{StrategyWiki}}
- Halo: Combat Evolved at MobyGames
- Halo: Combat Evolved at GameFAQs
- Halo: Combat Evolved at Halopedia
My question is, do we really have to link to websites that help to play the game strategically? Another issue is, is it necessary to link to websites like mobygames and gamefaqs? I think xbox and halo websites are enough in this section... What do u say? (I'm asking you as, I saw that you have edited the article considerably more times than others...) Mugunth (ping me!!!, contribs) 06:18, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

Halo logos
Mind telling me why there are repitition of Halo logos in the infoboxes? It's unnecessary fair use. Alientraveller 15:27, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
- They've been all removed and tagged as orphaned. This was pretty much a clear-cut case of decorative fair-use, especially since the box art itself includes the logos. — TKD::Talk 02:15, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
Vandalism notice
There's some rather persistent vandalism going on by an anonymous IP at Arbiter (Halo). Figured I would give you some heads up. Peptuck 21:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:Halologo.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:Halologo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. — TKD::Talk 22:20, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
Call of Duty 2 and GAR
Hey David. I've done some work on the article, expanding on reception etc., and will get on to the lead now. Are there any more specific things you want? (Good luck with ArbCom btw. - you have my support). Dihydrogen Monoxide 02:45, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
- Well, you're welcome to withdraw the GAR ;) :P As for development - I don't have the game and know very little about it, and the last thing I want to do now (considering exams notice on my talk page/userpage) is go research enough to write a full section on it. I'll ask some other guys to help out... Dihydrogen Monoxide 23:39, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

ArbCom questions
Hi. I'm Ral315, editor of the Wikipedia Signpost. We're interviewing all ArbCom candidates for an article next week, and your response is requested.
- What positions do you hold (adminship, arbitration, mediation, etc.)?
- Why are you running for the Arbitration Committee?
- Have you been involved in any arbitration cases? In what capacity?
- In the past year, are there any cases that you think the Arbitration Committee handled exceptionally well? Any you think they handled poorly?
- Why do you think users should vote for you?
Please respond on my talk page. We'll probably go to press late Monday or early Tuesday (UTC), but late responses will be added as they're submitted. Thanks, Ral315 » 04:46, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Requesting light protection of TF2
I'm hoping you may be able to put another light protect on Team Fortress 2. An anomalous IP address (that keeps shifting) keeps adding OR of what he thinks a particular weapon is to the article, and despite being told otherwise by myself and other editors that his intepretation is unprovable, he persists, now attempting to reference himself to an unreliable fan site as opposed to a reliable source such as IGN (which we've already provided and backs up our case) or even one straight from the developer, at one stage even vandalising the page to try to make his point. -- Sabre (talk) 19:25, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Halo 3
OK, I got one of them to look again, and he said it's much improved. He disagrees that there are nine levels, says there are 10 because he's beaten the game? He's happy with everything else, but says his friend should look. I did some WP:MOS cleanup while I was waiting. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 03:56, 24 November 2007 (UTC)

Imperial triple crown jewels
Your Imperial Majesty, this award grew out of two things: one was a barnstar I gave away post-arbitration to an editor who did a DYK and the other was this theory some people have about Wikipedia being like an MMORPG. Rather than scold people about that, why not create a reward system that plays upon the parallel in a positive way and results in a better encyclopedia? :) Warmly, DurovaCharge! 01:58, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
ArbCom table with portfolio links
Hello! As we did for last year's election, we are again compiling a Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2007/Summary table. This table contains a column "Portfolio" for links that display candidates' pertinent skills. I will be going through each candidate's statements and gradually populate the column, but this may take some time. Please feel free to add some links in the form [link|c] if you feel it shows conflict resolution skills, or [link|o] otherwise. It would also be helpful if you can check if the information about you is correct.
My motivation is that as a voter, I don't want to just rely on a candidate's words, but also see their actions. Moreover, I believe a portfolio of "model cases" to remember in difficult situations can be useful for each candidate, as well. I believe that conflict resolution skills are most pertinent to the position, but if you want to highlight other skills, please feel free to use a new letter and add it to Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee Elections December 2007/Summary table#Columns of this table. — Sebastian 05:36, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
- I like what you're writing about conflict resolution. I can imagine that you could add some links to your AMA work that display relevant experience. — Sebastian 07:40, 28 November 2007 (UTC) (I stopped watching this page. If you would like to continue the talk, please do so here and ping me.)
Spiffier triple crown, new awards available
Hi, I've been sprucing up the triple crown awards. Here's the new version of the imperial triple crown jewels you've already earned. Feel free to replace your old one with this if you like the new version better. I've also introduced two new triple crown awards for editors who've done a lot of triple crown work: the Napoleonic and Alexander the Great edition awards. If you're active in a WikiProject, check out the new offer for custom WikiProject triple crowns. I'll make those upon request if five or more editors qualify. See User:Durova/Triple crown winner's circle for more information. Thanks for your hard work, and cheers! DurovaCharge! 22:23, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
