Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your recent contributions, such as your edit to the page Nikolai Gogol, have removed content without a good reason to do so. Content on Wikipedia should not be removed just because you disagree with it or because you think it's wrong, unless the claim is not verifiable. Instead, you should consider expanding the article with noteworthy and verifiable information of your own, citing reliable sources when you do so. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!  —Michael Z. 14:09, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

Your comment

Hi Daikido, I saw your comment.[1] Know that you are not the first to say that that user goes too far with "cleaning operations".[2][3]--Mhorg (talk) 12:31, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Your recent editing history at Stuart Scheller shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Insults

Don't refer to a group of editors from a respected project as a gang. It's a needless and insulting. CambridgeBayWeather, Uqaqtuq (talk), Huliva 17:13, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

Lemme guess, you're all from this gang (kabal) and feel insulted, lol? Daikido (talk) 15:00, 26 October 2021 (UTC)

Seafood

Whack!

You've been whacked with a wet trout.

Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

Ummm... Canada is not part of the United States.[4]  :-) Ad Orientem (talk) 02:20, 5 September 2022 (UTC)

Our border kind of is. It's only 20 feet (about six metres) wide, but insanely long. And a good chunk of our forests live on in the hearts and skeletons of many American houses. In return, our pop culture bubbles are almost identical (especially from afar). But yeah, the crime and politics are certainly worlds apart, even if Canadian fugitives can easily cross over (relative to Mexican outlaws, anyway). Fair trout, just remain vigilant, 49th parallel folk! InedibleHulk (talk) 03:12, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
My heart wants to sing "trololololololololololol" after this... InvadingInvader (talk) 16:47, 7 September 2022 (UTC)
Don't listen to it, all my unsolicited and sometimes strange advice comes from a place of well wishing. I can verify any underlying factoid you might disbelieve, but you'll have to take my word on what I hoped stringing them together could accomplish (if you want the truth, anyway). I'm glad you're not angry, if that changes your tune any. InedibleHulk (talk) 05:46, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
I see you've been blocked indefinitely, so now I'm sad you're (presumably) a bit mad about that. Happened to me once, too, not pretty. But I snapped out of it one day a changed man with a new cautious respect for the Wikilaw and so can you! You could just remain silent, too. Consult every vital talking organ, then just go for whatever, eh? InedibleHulk (talk) 06:25, 8 September 2022 (UTC)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contribution(s). I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, while user talk pages permit a small degree of generalisation, other talk pages such as Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates are strictly for discussing improvements to their associated main pages, and many of them have special instructions on the top. They are not a general discussion forum about the article's topic or any other topic. If you have questions or ideas and are not sure where to post them, consider asking at the Teahouse. Using slurs in your messages violates both WP:HID and WP:FORUM. You also have a history of violating WP:AGF, as seen here. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 20:54, 11 July 2023 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm Miner Editor. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, The Real Anthony Fauci, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Miner Editor (talk) 01:32, 15 July 2023 (UTC)

Climate change and WP:FORUM at WP:ITN/C

Whack!

Because one trout didn't feel like enough.

On a slightly more serious note, it looks like a large percent of the comments on your talk page relate to things you've posted to WP:ITN/C, so I wanted to give you a friendly reminder to give another read to WP:ITNCDO & WP:ITNCDONT to better your understanding of what types of rationales the community expects to see. That last one fell under "Don't: Use the discussion section of an item as a forum for your own political or personal beliefs. Such comments are irrelevant to the outcome of a nomination and are potentially disruptive."
