Hello, Crunchydillpickle,
Please start using Twinkle to tag pages for deletion, including CSD, PRODs, and pages for AFD/RFD/CFD/etc. Once you set up your Twinkle Preferences to "Notify page creator", Twinkle will not only include an appropriate edit summary that states what you are doing but also will post a notification on the talk page of the page creator. Twinkle also has a lot of other cool features and will maintain deletion logs for you. I highly recommend it.
If you have questions about deletion tagging or editor notifications, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:02, 16 August 2022 (UTC)

Hi Crunchydillpickle! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Kj cheetham (talk) 17:29, 11 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hey! Thank you so much for the note. Yikes, I really should know better and this is a good reminder to be more careful! I'll be paying much more attention to my "minor edit" markings. Thanks for all you do and happy editing :) Crunchydillpickle (talk) 23:14, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Crunchydillpickle/sandbox/Darrel the Barrel
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Crunchydillpickle/sandbox/Darrel the Barrel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about something invented/coined/discovered by the article's creator or someone they know personally, and it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. - Hey Padgriffin! I am so sorry for the error — that was so careless! I meant to put the short article draft in my sandbox but I neglected the crucial "User:" in the title. My apologies for putting my messy, incomplete word salad into article space!! Thank you so much for catching this. Once again, I apologize for the mistake. Maybe someday I'll stop making so many dumb mistakes, ugh! Crunchydillpickle (talk) 17:30, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Penelope (platypus)
On 11 June 2023, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Penelope (platypus), which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that in 1953, zookeepers accused Penelope the platypus at the Bronx Zoo of "posing as an expectant mother just to lead a life of luxury on double rations"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Penelope (platypus). You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Penelope (platypus)), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Interview request
I'd be happy to answer some questions, but unfortunately, I'm not able to to email since it's not connected to my Wikipedia account. LittleT889 (talk) 01:02, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hey! Thanks for replying. If you'd like to keep it onwiki, here are some questions. If you'd rather not do this here, you can email me with a throwaway email perhaps? My email is crunchydillpickle9 at gmail
- Wikimedia Commons (and Flickr, and public domain sources, etc) have some subjects that are well-covered (like some trains and tourist destinations) but also some surprising gaps! Do you think it's generally hard to find photos/gifs/videos of gestures and dances?
- How much do you share your Wikipedia edits with people in your life? Have you ever shared with friends that you were once the photo of the thirst trap article? Have you ever shared your various dances like the Nae Nae?
- You edit a lot of different topics (many of which are fascinating!). This may be hard to answer, but if you can think of a reason, what motivates you to keep writing and maintaining articles?
- If you're okay sharing (and I understand if not), what are your typical days like? Describe your job/industry, hobbies, family, etc.
- Thanks and let me know! Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 02:02, 22 September 2023 (UTC)
- Hello there! Here are the answer to your questions:
- 1. Yes, absolutely. Especially ones that are recent. Which is why I’ve contributed a few things myself.
- 2. I very rarely share my Wikipedia edits with people in my life. Only a handful of times have I shared it with very close friends or family when it was relevant or if I needed their help. For instance, a good friend filmed me doing the Naruto run and flossing. A few people know about the dances. No one knows about the thirst trap article though. In general, I try to stay anonymous.
- 3. I feel like I am making a (very) small contribution to humanity when I edit Wikipedia. In this short life, at least this will be a part of my legacy. Long after I’m gone, I might still be dancing the nae nae in that gif.
- 4. Currently, I work part-time as a physician. For many years, I was in school or training, but for the past several years, I have often been traveling.
- If you have any further questions or need clarification, please let me know. Thanks! LittleT889 (talk) 00:22, 26 September 2023 (UTC)

- Hi Lightburst! Thanks for taking the time to check it over! I don't believe it's true orphan since it's on the List of non-water floods (though on the list of non-water floods, I used an alternate name "Wisconsin butter flood" there, which redirects to Wisconsin Butter Fire. I figured it was better since it makes clear that the event was not just a fire but also a flood. Let me know if I should still keep un-orphaning and I can get busy :) Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 03:58, 5 October 2023 (UTC)

UAA
First of all, thank you for the UAA report! To make it easier for you next time, a couple pointers. First, for a username that flagrant it's not necessary to warn the user, just report it. Second, Twinkle has a function to generate a UAA report; if you haven't enabled Twinkle I strongly encourage you to, it makes so many things much easier (I got my start manually patrolling NPP for months, when the interface for doing so was far less intuitive, Twinkle dramatically increased my productivity). And if you do manually report a user, since every once in a while Twinkle randomly barfs, use the template {{user-uaa|1=''Example username''}} (it's in the UAA editnotice) and that'll simplify the process for you. Thanks again! The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 22:45, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

order on article (re)submission
Hi Crunchydillpickle!
I think that I (re)submitted a draft in the incorrect order - used 'publish' instead of 'resubmit' Is that why you updated the "under review" status?
I see this in the history (below) - what steps should I have followed? Thank you:

- Hey @Science and such! Thanks for reaching out. I don't think you did anything wrong. Feedback request: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Paul_G._Hayes
I've not communicated via a talk page before, and for that I preemptively apologize if I'm not utilizing according to norms.
I appreciate your feedback about the page we have been working on on the Journalist Paul G. Hayes. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Draft:Paul_G._Hayes.
Since receiving your comments, we have gone back to the archives to edit and augment significantly with dedicated commentary by Sig Gissler (Editor, Professor), James A Clum PhD (UW), John Eifler (Architect), Robert Wells (Journalist), Robert Rosenblatt (LA Times), U.S. Senators William Proxmire and Gaylord Nelson and others. And we have removed "passing mentions".
Importantly, we have added narrative and proper references to Hayes' work on nuclear energy investigation, energy policy, and Wisconsin's heritage.
Our main challenge in sufficiently characterizing his large body of work has been the timing of Hayes' retirement from Journalism (1995), which happened just as digital was coming on... and by the inaccessibility of Milwaukee Journal archives (which were removed from the Google News archive a few years ago.) We have added significantly to citations using infoweb.newsbank in a format that I hope is wiki friendly.
So my question: are we getting closer? What suggestions for improvement might you make?
@Ndhayes1 Ndhayes1 (talk) 04:26, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hey, I took a look at your edits. This is very thorough and clearly made with a lot of care. I'm still not seeing convincing evidence that it meets Wikipedia's notability standards (WP:JOURNALIST), and I still think that it would have a better home on a personal website or blog. Note that many of the journalists with Wikipedia articles, such as fellow Wisconsinite Margo Huston, have dedicated profiles that other journalists have written about their work or career. I do not see any such sources about Paul G. Hayes.
- One main issue is that the in-line citations aren't great. Many statements are not sourced. Many statements have citations that do not contain the relevant info. For example: "Hayes contributed research and the essay 'A Tale of Five Rivers' to the series 'Pollution, the Spreading Menace' for which the Journal won a Pulitzer Prize in 1967 in the Public Service category" has a citation, but it goes to a Pulitzer website page which does not mention Paul G. Hayes nor state that he contributed research to the prizewinning work. I am not confident that this article will make it to Wikipedia, but if it does, you'll need to remove the unsourced statements. Crunchydillpickle🥒 (talk) 18:58, 11 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks again for your feedback and for looking at it again.
- I've taken steps to improve citation relevancy and remove unsourced statements in today's draft. Not looking for another review, but wonder if you might comment on the example Pulitzer paragraph and let me know if I'm headed in the right direction. There I've added context and other new sources who name Hayes and his contribution.
- Appreciate a quick eye on it. Ndhayes1 (talk) 19:48, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

PayrollOrg Wikipedia Page-rejected?
Hello, we added additional secondary sources to the page and included additional resources as well. Our submission was declined again for the second time due to the same issue which we did resolve.
We are just wanting to understand what we need to do in order to get our page up and running.
We originally planned to edit our American Payroll Association page since we rebranded to PayrollOrg in May, but were unable to change the name which is the reason for the new page being created.
Any insight you can provide would be appreciated,
