Why do I keep getting an upload error when I try to upload a .wav file? It says it's not an acceptable image type. I've seen that others are having this problem too.
- This is because your audio formats must be in an open source format, .ogg . This can be converted using one of the many programs on the internet. If you need more help, contact me!
- After conversion, you must enter C:\YourFile.ogg to upload to wikipedia, and the destination filename should be YourFile.ogg. Also, don't forget about licensing!! --Tyson Moore 16:43, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- When I was uploading it, I entered only the filename, not the extension ".ogg" in the "destination filname" field, because I got confused and thought I was just supposed to put in a name. I guess I assumed that it would add the extension based on the filetype.
