Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
[edit]The article is intended to describe the department. It is not intended to post extensive biographies of member of the board. That's called a WP:COATRACK and it's frowned upon. Please keep that in mind when editing. Kleuske (talk) 17:06, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

- @Cmerca96: Unfortunately, we would strongly discourage you from editing or creating an article about your employer as that creates a conflict of interests. Additionally, the individuals on the board would have to meet certain requirements before being considered appropriate for inclusion in the encyclopedia. In short, each individual would require extensive and focused coverage by the media. For instance, no media outlet has ever done a story about me, so I am not notable and can't have my own article here. Please feel free to click the word "CONNECT" in my signature and leave me a message on my talk page if there is anything else I can help you with. Operator873CONNECT 19:25, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Cmerca96. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Kleuske (talk) 19:40, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
