Abusive posts by Opinoso
On the talk pages of Clarice Lispector, referring to opponent as Nazi, in addition to starting an edit war and ignoring others' sources in favor of his personal opinions on the pages Clarice Lispector and especially Ukrainians of Brazil. You've dealt with him before. I would be grateful for any help.Faustian (talk) 05:52, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
- Another admin just warned him [1]. I'm a bit busy to deal with this right now. Sorry.--chaser - t 09:06, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
THANK you.
Somehow, I knew I'd spot a MascotGuy sock the moment I hit the recent changes tab. He's left a terrible mess in his wake and I don't have rollback privileges. Hoping you do. Again, thanks for blocking this idiot. I hope my screed scared him off. In all truthfulness, I did bring this to the attention of the developers. I have no idea how this little moron keeps avoiding the blocks. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 19:59, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Aksis 3rr block
Hello Chaser. I am not inclined to unblock this editor, since I'm not clear that actual repentance has occurred. No objection if you wish to take over the problem and use your own judgment. The material he was trying to add to State of nature looks like personal opinion and original research. For example, take a look at the History section in Aksis's last version. Do we need to discuss the Big Bang and the Sumerian roots of the word 'Eden' in an article on political philosophy? If the editor showed an awareness that his views are unusual and an interest in working toward consensus, my view would change. EdJohnston (talk) 13:52, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Complete list of United States Supreme Court cases submitted to peer review
Hi. I've submitted List of United States Supreme Court cases (formerly Complete list of United States Supreme Court cases) for peer review here and though you might like to comment. Thanks.--Cdogsimmons (talk) 13:51, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
Happy Independence Day!
As you are a nice Wikipedian, I just wanted to wish you a happy Independence Day! And if you are not an American, then have a happy day and a wonderful weekend anyway! :) Your friend and colleague, --Happy Independence Day! Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 21:28, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism disillusionment
Dear Chaser, I just reverted hoax/nonsense vandalism that has been unnoticed for nearly two months. Anyway, I now wonder how much more of that has been unnoticed for so long or if this is something rare. It concerns me as I know students use this site (I think most would read the removed material and realize it's bull, but still!). --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 19:17, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- Vandalism sometimes goes for some time without being discovered, but the relevant research indicates that vandalism is usually repaired within a few minutes. Don't fret. :) --chaser - t 09:34, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

A request for the arbcom to examine the Guideo den Broeder situation
G'day - I'm dropping this note in to you because earlier today I responded to a request to file a request for arbitration. My examination of events led me to believe that there may be some use in the arbcom examining this matter, and perchance resolving an issue or two, and you have been named as an 'Involved Party'. As such, your thoughts would be most welcome at the Request page.
Yours rather nervously to be wearing a clerk-ish hat for the first time,

Thanks so much for correcting the flopped Nucella image
Sorry it has taken me so very long to notice that you had replied to my note and done that! That is exactly what was needed, thanks so much, I will insert your version into the article! Invertzoo (talk) 18:28, 26 July 2008 (UTC)

Anonymous IP evading his block
IP evaded his block,[2] doing the same revert again from a slightly different IP (traced to the same location as all his others (RUSSIAN FEDERATION, MOSCOW, ISP: ST.PETERSBURG TELEPHONE NETWORK - check here). Looks like a longer, range block is in order for block evasion, and semi-protect the article so he doesn't evade the block again. I filed another report [3] and I filed a request for semi-protection here but it seems to have been mishandled.--Miyokan (talk) 13:07, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
User:Aviousours76
Hi. You declined a third unblock request from this user, and then protected his talk page. No problem there, but I was wondering if you'd reconsider that protection, or consent to having it lifted. I think this is a user that could use some clue, granted, but a dialog on what they did wrong would be of value - at least, I hope it would be. I also get the impression that they thought they had to use the Unblock template to post on their talk page; the third request seems almost to be a response to the second. I might be AGFing more than is warranted, here, but I'm willing to work with this user. Thanks in advance, UltraExactZZ Claims ~ Evidence 14:03, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
The Bar Exam
Thanks. It wasn't too bad (actually, it was horribly grueling and more difficult than I expected) but it's over now. Back to editing wikipedia for several hours a day. --Cdogsimmons (talk) 00:42, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
Deleted Page
Can I get a copy of my deleted page? It was entitled "Double H Software" 98.221.146.73 (talk) 21:14, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- User:Rab777hp/Double H Software. That done, without substantial independent coverage, the company is not notable and the page will be deleted again if returned to article space.--chaser - t 23:09, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

My unblock
Hi Chaser, if it's not too much trouble would you mind thanking NawlinWiki for unblocking me; I don't seem to be able to edit his page right now. Anyway, I am probably not going to keep this name as I understand now the confusion it may cause for people unfamiliar How I Met Your Mother. Would it be ok to just make another account? Swarley, everybody knows your name (talk) 14:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, no worries about just creating a new account. When you've decided your username, take a gander at Wikipedia:Username policy to avoid repeating the same cycle. I told NawlinWiki that you thank him/her [4]. Cheers.--chaser - t 15:38, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Darkfall - Page
Hi there Chaser,
i am pretty new to using the Wikipedia-Site. I have been a consumer for quite a while now though :) I made up a german-language info-site to the upcoming game of Darkfall, which is dealt with at : http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Darkfall
Since i got affiliate-status on the official website (see : http://darkfallonline.com/community/ ) i wanted to ask you if you were so kind to add me to the "Links" - List.
The description would be "Official german Darkfall-Infosite" and the link would be : http://darkfall.bewahrer-der-welten.de
I would be happy if you could help me out with that - since i seem to have no possibility to add sthg. myself.
Sincerely
Sascha / Noraya —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noraya (talk • contribs) 14:51, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Unprotection request
Hi. Could you please have a look at the request here concerning three articles you protected a few days ago? Sorry for troubling you on talk page; I saw you'd noted that unprotection request should go directly to RFPP, but it seems other admins are unwilling to look into this. The request has stayed there for around 24 hours and keeps getting archived by the bot for some reason... Your comment is much appreciated. --PeaceNT (talk) 06:20, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- This dispute still seems pretty hot. Is there anything else we can do to more people on board or to get more involved in the discussion?--chaser - t 18:21, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going on wikibreak. You'll have to find someone else if you want the articles unprotected in the next week or so.--chaser - t 01:40, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. I intend to get more opinions, too, as this is repeated arguments all over again. Will probably go to WP:30 today.
- It's pretty brave of you to use the WikiBreak Enforcer, I'm never determined enough. :) Have a relaxing break. We'll miss you. --PeaceNT (talk) 02:08, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

re ITN
Normally I would say, use "U.S.", but since it's alongside two acronyms that always go without periods, that makes it more difficult. If you put it back, I won't challenge. --Golbez (talk) 01:21, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Michael Wolff
Thanks for fixing Michael Wolff (musician) back to Michael Wolff, a move I agree with. The unnecessary dab was set up by a well-intentioned but newbie editor, and I didn't want to tangle with her back then. Can you explain why you left the Michael Wolff talk page dangling back on the musician dab page? SandyGeorgia (Talk) 05:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
Rejected entry
Hi,
How have you been?
I just don't get it! I tried to submit an entry for the IT History Society and it got deleted. Most of the data was from the website at www.ithistory.org. I just don't have much luck with the authors at Wikipedia. Any suggestions? Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jefferyds (talk • contribs) 18:16, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
- You must be talking about this. I'd recommend copying the wikicode to a new entry at http://mywikibiz.com, as I really don't see enough secondary sources (just this press release) to create an article on Wikipedia.--chaser - t 18:30, 12 August 2008 (UTC)
problem user
It looks like you have dealt with User:Avineshjose earlier. He has two proven cases of sockpuppetry behind him[5] and [6]. He has some coi article which he wants to be the way they prefer. He removes tags without discussion and editwars on them. Santhosh George Kulangara (and several other articles related to the subject's business ventures) are his chief area of interest. He has also accused me of vandalism for tagging the article properly for its poor quality [7]. You may want to look at his doings. Uzhuthiran (talk) 02:00, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but I'm not coming off my wikibreak to deal with Avineshjose. Try the incidents noticeboard if you haven't already filed something else.--chaser (away) - talk 02:35, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Please look at my rationale at Talk page and User:Uzhuthiran's multiple sock id's (listed there) also. He is blindly targeting Santhosh George Kulangara, an article already written by many established editors. --Avinesh Jose T 04:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
The ol' Law School Blues
Hey Chaser, how are you? I hope you are enjoying law school, and that the stressful and competitive atmosphere isn't driving you crazy. I was wondering, if and when you actually have time, would you be willing to help out with my attempt at sorting all the SCOTUS cases onto the proper court list? (see this link for an explanation) I'm sure you are busy as hell, though, so respond at your leisure.
Anyway, I wish you the best of luck. Hang in there, and remember: the first year (especially the first semester) is rough, but if you can handle it, things get a lot more manageable afterward. --Eastlaw (talk) 13:03, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
- Law school is OK (the first week is more introductory than I expected). Thanks for your thoughts and kind words and I will keep you updated. As to the case lists, I will be happy to do help with that tomorrow when I return home. Bug me if I don't; I'll probably just have forgotten.--chaser - t 18:25, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
TfD nomination of Template:Copy to Wikispecies
Template:Copy to Wikispecies has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. CBD 14:20, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
thanks
Thanks for closing that, guess I should check the log next time before running to AfD. Beeblbrox (talk) 02:32, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
- No worries. The reference to salting is your clue for next time. It refers to locking a page title against creation to prevent someone from repeatedly recreating a deleted article. If there's a reference to salting, it's been deleted before.--chaser - t 02:49, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
ITN Biden pick
Well, before I got edit conflicted, my edit summary also mentioned possible US-centrism. I removed that in the final version of the edit though. See Template talk:In the news#Obama's VP for more.
