City of Puyallup motto
Hi Chamith,
Here is the link to the City's Twitter page: https://twitter.com/CityofPuyallup You can see the new motto in the left column, under the city logo and twitter handle. Please revert your edits so the city's wiki page can reflect this update. Also I plan to make further changes (mostly updates) to the City of Puyallup page. Will I need to provide links for every change? As you can imagine, I would prefer to avoid wasting my time (and yours) going back and forth with you about every single change!
Thanks a lot for your help!

- @City of Puyallup: Hello, is there any other way to prove that this is the new motto? Because I don't think that twitter account is official, It isn't even verified.--Chamith (talk) 21:01, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Hello ChamithN,
I am the Puyallup Public Affairs Officer and I can assure you that the city motto is 'A great place to live, work, and play', not 'community of your choice'. I'm curious to know why you would think that updating facts is 'not constructive'? In fact there is even more out-of-date information on this page that needs to be made current - name of the Puyallup fair has changed, days of the Farmers Market are different now, etc. The way I see it nothing can be more constructive than providing updated, current, and accurate information on Wikipedia pages. Let me know if you need anything further from me. I would really appreciate it if you could restore my edits.
Thanks!

- @City of Puyallup: Lots of news user make changes to motto in articles without providing a source to back it up.So we have to revert them again and again.Could you please at post a link here?,where i can check whether your info is true.If so,I will immediately revert my edits.--Chamith (talk) 00:32, 9 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Chamith,
Here is an easy way to ascertain if a Twitter page is official or not. From Twitter's Help page: https://support.twitter.com/articles/119135-faqs-about-verified-accounts Besides verification, how can I show my account is authentic? Linking to your Twitter profile from an official website is the easiest way to confirm the authenticity of your Twitter account. Including Twitter's follow button on your webpage is the absolute best way to do this. Click here to learn how. Or, visit all help articles about linking to your Twitter account from your blog or website here.
Here is the link to the City of Puyallup website: http://www.cityofpuyallup.org/ (also on the Twitter page itself!) Please take the time to scroll down and click on the Twitter link. You will see that it takes you to the same Twitter page. I assure you that the City of Puyallup is neither big enough nor so popular that anyone would take the time to create a fake Twitter page and then dedicate hours posting, rather boring, city related tweets. I did look into the Twitter account verification process but it seems you have to be "highly sought users in music, acting, fashion, government, politics, religion, journalism, media, sports, business, and other key interest areas" (quote from Twitter Help page) to be verified. Once again, the City of Puyallup is not a 'highly sought user in anything' just a small city that is trying to correct/update some of it's outdated facts on the Internet.
Chamith, while I do respect your thoroughness in this matter, honestly, I'm beginning to feel harassed by you. The facts are as plain as daylight (City website is linked to Twitter page which has the new motto) but you continue to question my motivation and any information that I provide. Can I respectfully ask that you refer me to another moderator (maybe someone in the US) who can look at this issue with fresh eyes? I would appreciate your help.
Thank You, City of Puyallup — Preceding unsigned comment added by City of Puyallup (talk • contribs) 22:49, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
- @City of Puyallup: I'm really sorry if I made you feel that way, I didn't mean to. It's just we have to work according Wikipedia policies. When addressing your issue I had to ask that question because according to this policy we can cite sources from twitter (sometimes) if it's a verified account. I wasn't saying anything like you are trying vandalize Wikipedia I know you are a good contributor, and we need people like you here on Wikipedia. Of course you can ask other editors onTeahouse, where skilled editors can help with your issue. I'm sorry again if I did anything wrong. Regards--Chamith (talk) 22:56, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
- Or you can ask Stepheng3, I'm referring him because from what I've noticed he has done a great service to Wikipedia by improving US,California related articles.--Chamith (talk) 23:07, 13 October 2014 (UTC)
Thank you Chamith. I will use Stephen's help to update the City page. I appreciate your help and understand that it can't be fun to be the person who's job is to undo other people's work!
In the absence of a verified account, are you unable to accept the 'linked to website' test as proof that the Twitter account is authentic? I can also try to add the motto to the city website itself and send you that link. Will you accept that? Basically, if you can't accept Twitter, what other proof are you able to accept? If I know what you need, I can try to make that happen rather than waste my time (and yours) exchanging frustrated e-mails!

I noticed you have previously commented on a Request Edit on this page and I have another one with some minor additions at the bottom of Talk that's been sitting for a few weeks now. I thought I would poke my head in and see if you had a minute to take a look. CorporateM (Talk) 05:45, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
@CorporateM: Sure thing CorporateM,It's been a while. You have done lots of addition to that page (after my last comment). Which one are you talking about? --Chamith (talk) 05:51, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
Four N Twenty External Web Edit
I'd like to know your justification for undoing my modification. The original external link on the wiki page was to, "http://www.fourntwenty.com.au/" which is a scam and redirects to, "footybingo.com.au". The site I replaced it with is the official site run by the parent company. 128.83.152.154 (talk) 21:32, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
- @128.83.152.154: Reverted - added link again
Thanks for the quick followup. Good luck with your work.

Ferengi
I am not the original person who added that information but you needlessly reverted a good edit to the article. The source of the statements is included in the text that you keep reverting (the DVD commentary). Memory alpha cites the same source if you google the quoted text. Because it uses a DVD as a source it cannot be uploaded online due to copyright laws. As such your reverts are needless and pedantic. Please stop blocking the improvement of articles on wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:2F0A:3002:F300:6C2F:8D2:B84C:BC67 (talk) 15:08, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- @2A02:2F0A:3002:F300:6C2F:8D2:B84C:BC67: I've reverted is because as per Wikipedia policies inline citation is necessary when closely paraphrasing a source's words.I've noticed that you re-added that content again.I'm not going to revert it again as I can tell that you are a good faith] user. Normally good faith users doesn't mean to add content which is harmful to Wikipedia. And don't get so cross. Please stay calm and be cool. I've nothing against other users. Read that box on top of my user page. Cheers!-Chamith (talk) 15:15, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Video Game High School episodes
http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/List_of_Video_Game_High_School_episodes
Two days ago 76.174.19.11 added a lot of false information to this article for season 3, with incorrect descriptions and view counts. User Sokke90 reverted this incorrect information, but his fix was reverted by you ChamithN as suspected vandalism. This was an incorrect determination by STiki. I have revered this incorrect information out, and note that the descriptions by 76.174.19.11 are not correct and should not be in there.
--David (talk) 16:10, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Davidfg: Oh I'm really sorry about that. It's just, I reverted it because it sounded weird. Sentences like "Nobody Cool Goes To Prom" and "A Map To Sex Town" was in Sokke90's edits. And I thought he removed summaries intending to vandalize the page. Sorry again for marking it as vandalism--Chamith (talk) 16:20, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- @ChamithN: No problem, I completely understand. To someone not familiar with the show I'm sure that 76.174.19.11's information looked legitimate. As you can see I have added sources to verify the episode names and lengths. (Which certainly are weird.) Thanks! --David (talk) 16:29, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Cierra Levy
Hi! Thanks for welcoming me to Wikipedia. I am currently working on a project in school which calls for creating Wikipedia article. I hope you can help me in the future so that I can make a comprehensive article. If you have any input on how to choose an article that would be helpful as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cierrajadell (talk • contribs) 17:51, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
- @Cierrajadell: Of course, just leave me a message if you need any help. I'd be glad to help . See you around--Chamith (talk) 18:16, 15 October 2014 (UTC)
Samsun castle
Hello. Not sure why you undid the date of construction in the Samun article but left in the request for a date, without a comment? Can you reply on my talk page? Jzlcdh (talk) 18:27, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Done--Chamith (talk) 18:34, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for explaining so quickly your undo on the Samsun article. That's fine but I hope you have or will also explain the reason to the person who made the edit you undid, otherwise they may become discouraged from editing. I think the easiest way to do that in future would be to put a comment on the undo and/or on their page. Actually I think she likely just copied the date from the castle article. If you put an annotation on the date that a citation is needed I will not forget to try and sort it out when I get round to fixing the Samsun history generally - it is a bit of a mess but apparently there is a local historian I can talk to. Jzlcdh (talk) 18:51, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Maroon 5 you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. BZZZTT wrong answer. Thanks for playing. You want to keep bothering people I'll just go to my office on campus at the Number One College in the United States and Third in the World which has administrative powers in Wikipedia and go block YOU from further usage from there.
