Reliable sources needed for information about living people

[edit]

We need reliable third party sources with a reputation for fact checking and accuracy for content added to articles, particularly content about living people. The fact that other articles contain stuff doesnt mean that stuff is appropriate for another article. Active Banana (talk) 18:02, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

And re Siobhan Magnus - the meaning of "Siobhan" IS irrel to that article, unless you find a third party source that links the meaning of the name to the particular subject of the article. Active Banana (talk) 18:04, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not saying that at all. I am saying that an argument that we should include crap in this article because crap exists in another article is a bad argument. Active Banana (talk) 18:16, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Relatives names like all other content needs to be supported by a reliable source. Active Banana (talk) 18:46, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My mistake - i didnt recognize that as a newspaper - the URL looked like a promotional chatsite. Active Banana (talk) 19:26, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
